The toilet in my home gets cleaned every single night when I retire to bed for the evening. I usually give it a proper scrub once or twice a week just to ensure that no limescale builds up but before I retire to bed I get either bleach or toilet gel and run it around the rim of my toilet seat. I then use Dettol spray and toilet tissue to remove any noticeable marks or dirt before leaving the lid of the toilet seat open for the night (I once had a toilet seat that got stained yellow from coloured toilet cleaner) and then in the morning I can just flush my toilet and it is looking sparkly clean and fresh.

This particular toilet gel is 80p per 750ml bottle at present or 2 bottles for £1.50 and despite this being such a small saving (10p per 2 bottles) I decided to take up this offer as a saving is a saving!

This toilet gel comes in a darkish blue plastic bottle with a child proof cap on it. This is the standard cap where you depress two sections and then twist to remove the cap. This cap works very well and is simple to remove. This bottle has an angled neck on it making it simple to place underneath the toilet bowl rim. This isn't an exaggerated neck but the angle is sufficient that it makes the task easier for me. It takes just a few seconds to twist and squeeze this and run the blue liquid down inside my toilet bowl. I do find that I need to go around twice to ensure an even coverage.

This gel is nice and thick without being too clingy and it runs down the toilet bowl easily. The blue colour of the liquid allows me to see any areas that might have been missed which is very handy. Because this isn't completely thick it only takes a couple of minutes to cover the toilet bowl. This is ideal if I am wanting to give my toilet a deep clean as I can apply this, clean the bathroom sink and then come back to scrub the toilet bowl with a toilet brush. This is ideal if I have guests coming over as I know that in just a few minutes I can have a shiny toilet bowl that looks clean and smells fresh.

The actual fragrance of this isn't really an amazing one. It does smell fresh but it has a disinfectant scent to it that isn't too over powering. Obviously because I leave this overnight it does make my whole bathroom smell of the scent but because it does have a nice fresh scent to it I don't mind that you can detect cleaning products as its not over powering and I feel that it lets people know that my home and more importantly my bathroom is kept clean and looked after on a regular basis.

I have no problems with limescale in my toilet thanks to using this and other similar products regularly and I would definitely recommend this. The scent isn't the best I've ever smelled however it is not artificial or nasty and that along with the cleaning power rates this as 5 out of 5 stars from me!
