Advantages: Economical and works brilliantly

Disadvantages: No realy smell to it

When it comes to cleaning, well it's a pastime I really actually enjoy (ok I'm odd lol) At the moment though I'm living at home and the cleaning gets done at the crack of dawn by house proud Mother and there isn't really anything left for me to do! However I do have my own bedroom which I like to look immaculate and if my parents go out I will whizz about our two bathrooms and kitchen whenever I get the chance.

I was out shopping today in my local Tesco store and I do like to buy the odd cleaning product or two. To say my bedroom needed a good clean out was an understatement.

Now you may ponder as to why I would buy an antibacterial spray with a bedroom in mind. I mean I shouldn't be harbouring e coli in here or salmonella but I have my reasons! I don't want to go into too much detail, you may be sat there eating but one night last week I was a bit sick and I reached my bin in time but sadly, today I noticed it had splattered up my cabinets and dribbled down my skirting boards and sort of set! Also greasy paw prints had arrived around my doorhandles and things like that and really I put off the cleaning cos it all looked so bad I didn't know where to start lol. So yes I felt I not only needed this for a general rub down but it would be good to kill any germs that I was festering in here!

The Packaging:

The product shown on the top of this page has recently changed. The bottle design is the same but it's now a clear plastic bottle that holds 500ml of the product and it has a a clear trigger action spray still to the top of it with a safety cap so you can turn it on and off. The front label is bright green with a picture of a daisy on it and now this is called Daisy antibacterial cleaner 'Kills 99.9 bacteria' The back label is white and on that I'm given directions for use (spray this onto a surface and wipe away), care instructions are given as are a list of warnings, ingredients and the size are stated, contact details for Tesco are given and finally there is a bar-code on there. I like the style of the bottle but don't appreciate not being told what it kills in depth. I don't know these things! I do like being able to see the clear liquid through the bottle though cos I know when I'm running out etc.

Using It:

Well first off we are told not to use it on carpets, soft furnishings, polished furniture, windows or mirrors. So that's most of my bedroom not being able to be cleaned with this.....

However I did use it in my bedroom! I'm not suggesting that you personally use it as I did as Tesco do say not to but personally I found it fine and it came down to using it with common sense and once I started cleaning with it I couldn't stop myself!

This only has a really light fragrance and I mean light too so don't use this thinking your home is going to smell all fresh it isn't. I could only smell anything when I sprayed it onto a cloth and inhaled and my nose even then really struggled to detect anything at all in the fragrance department.

So I wiped over my pvc windows (missing glass), my furniture and my door by simply spraying a little of this spray onto a cloth opposed to spraying it directly onto things in case I damaged them. It removed light marks with ease and left no residue behind itself. Then where I mentioned I splattered sick everywhere I sprayed it on directly, left it a few seconds and gently wiped it all away. No scrubbing required and it left the area sparkling clean. I then went to where my shoes are stored in my wardrobe and once again sprayed some of this there and wiped. Again did a blinding job! Don't go near windows or mirrors though, I did accidently and it did smear!

I was really pleased with this spray, and pleased that although I really did a great job cleaning my bedroom I hadn't used much spray at all so off I went to the bathroom and kitchen! I sprayed it around my bath, sink and toilet. I then sprayed the toilet roll holder and stuff and once again grease and grime and general muck was gone in a flash. Same with the kitchen! A quick wipe down really did remove dirt I never knew we had and all the areas were left looking bright and with a clean feel.

Overall:

This works like a multi purpose spray but your safe in the knowledge that it kills germs too so me, I'm happy to use it everywhere in my home. I liked not having to rinse it off or things being left dull and really at 98p this is a bargain buy. You can use this in nurseries too as it's safe and I even got some on my best jeans by accident whilst using it and it didn't take the colour out. I wiped over my phones with this as well my keyboard (spraying a little onto a cloth first) and felt it was great for simple little jobs like that too! Easy and safe to use....bargain!

Summary: A great buy!
