Advantages: Cheap, smells okay, works

Disadvantages: No idea if it's as good at killing bacteria as leading brands

After realising how each it is to spend a sinful amount on cleaning products, I decided to try and cut down on the leading brands and try out supermarkets own makes. At 98p for 500ml, this cleaner is a fraction of the price you'd pay for leading brands such as Dettol, so I was more than happy to try it out.

The bottle has a typical pump spray, with an on/off cube at the end of the nozzle which you can turn. This does come in handy if you're storing it in the cupboard and want to make sure the there's no leaks if something leans on the trigger.

The label claims that the cleaner kills 99.9% of bacteria, and is non tainting. On the back the label also states:

- Antibacterial Action
- Multipurpose Cleaner for household protection against germs
- Safe to use in the kitchen, bathroom and nursery
- Leaves surfaces hygienically clean

There's also a long list of warnings, which included not to use it near pets, not to swallow it, and the average typical warning for a cleaning product.

It's extremely simple to use, you simply turn the nozzle to ON, spray on the surface then wipe it clean with some kitchen roll or a cloth. Repeat if necessary, then turn the nozzle to OFF.

The results I had were just as good as those I'd had when using more expensive brands. I can't say for certain whether it kills as much bacteria, but from a visible point of view it's not much different. It also smells citrus-y and fresh, which leaves a nice scent on any surface you've cleaned, which I'd much prefer to the chemical-y smell some cheap cleaners can leave behind.

Overall, a great cleaning product at a great value price. It leaves surfaces clean and fresh, without any residue. I'd definitely recommend giving this a try, it works just as well as any more expensive brand, but it saves a few more pennies!
