Advantages: Good for mopping up spillages

Disadvantages: None

Now these Tesco Anti-bacterial floor wipes do come in useful around the house but at 97p for a pack of just fifteen wipes I can't help but think that they are far more expensive than some of the packs that I manage to pick up on offer in shops like Home Bargains and Pound stretcher. But credit where credit is due the floor wipes are good quality and do the job well.

The pack of fifteen wipes come in a rectangular plastic packet which is an attractive shade of fresh ocean blue, the no nonsense labelling comes straight to the point and the way that the label has been designed appears clinical and forthright.

As with most packets of wipes there is a small opening located at the top of the packet that has a plastic covering, pull back that plastic covering and that gives you instant access to the good sized cloths.
As you peel the plastic cover back you can smell the fresh lemon fragrance that covers the wipes.
One thing that you must always remember is that when you remove a wipe from the packet to make sure and reseal the pack properly or the remaining wipes will dry out and become useless.

The white wipes are 11 x 9 inches so there is a decent amount of wipe to get hold of to complete your cleaning task. Each wipe is reasonably thick, hold one up to the light and you will notice that the light doesn't shine easily through the thick fibres.
The wipes have between 5 and 15% ethanol ( a form of alcohol ) contained in the fibres, a surfactant ( which acts as a wetting agent ), disinfectant and the perfumes Hexyl cinnamal which is naturally found in chamomile and limonene which gives the floor wipes their strong citrus smell.

These wipes have a million and one good uses, linoleum, tiles and laminate flooring can all be safely wiped over with them and given that they kill unwanted bacteria they are ideal for mopping up after pets and children.
If I am in a hurry I more often than not will whip a wipe out of the packet and give the bathroom a quick whizz around to freshen it up, the citrus smell tends to linger and leaves the bathroom feeling fresh.
If the cat comes trooping through the back door with muddy paws then they are ideal for removing the evidence.

Like all things in life there are `fors` and againsts`, some people see these wipes as a commodity that can be done without.
I have a couple of ways of looking at it, I can easily use a floor cloth to mop up mess and spillages and then wash my cloth out and hang it back on the hook, but the billion bacteria that I have just picked up are still all hanging on that cloth too!
If I use an anti-bacterial floor wipe then I only use it once and throw it into the bin and there is far less chance that I am likely to spread any unwanted germs and bacteria.

After you have used any wipe you should always wash your hands thoroughly and make sure to keep the wipes away from your eyes. If you wipe floors with them then make sure that the area of floor that you have just wiped is allowed to dry before you try to walk on it again, using the wipes can make the floor slippery.

One area where floor wipes fail is the fact that they are impractical to dispose of, they can't be flushed down the toilet and they aren't bio-degradable hence they just have to be thrown in the waste bin and collected as normal.

The whole concept of being able to wipe away any germs and bacteria with one single wipe appeals to me, the fresh smell of the wipes appeal to me too.
At marginally under 7p a wipe it could be seen as an expensive wipe but I feel it is far better to banish the germs that harbour in floor and bathroom cloths and turn to the anti-bacterial wipes as a replacement.

They are worth it in my opinion.

Summary: A great quick fix
