Advantages: Get the floor clean, smell fresh, easy to use, convenient, floor dries quickly

Disadvantages: probably more expensive than using a mop and bucket

About half of the floors in my flat are hard - a mixture of lino and laminate. After vacuuming, I prefer to use floor wipes to clean them, as I find that although using a mop and bucket is the cheaper option, it's also messier, and I often feel like I am just swirling dirty water around the floor. Not only that but I'm cautious about getting the laminate too wet and having it begin to start peeling away which is what happened to a friend of mine's floor.

I'm not really fussy when it comes to brands, I usually just buy whatever is cheapest and at £1 for 15 wipes these were the cheapest Tesco had available. The next cheapest are the Mr Muscle wipes which are £1.81 for a pack of 12, so that's quite a saving.

The wipes come in a bright blue pack and this features a sparkling floor. The resalable tab on the top of the pack retains its stickiness right until the last wipe, which is great because it means that they won't dry out.

The wipes are fragranced with lemon and they do have quite a strong smell to them but it's quite pleasant and not too overpowering.

The wipes are fairly thick and strong and so it's unlikely that they will fall apart when using them -at least I've never experienced one disintegrating when I've used them. They are also very wet, so I'm confident that they contain a good amount of cleaning solution.

I tend to attach my wipes to one of those sweeper brush thingys, and then go over the floor with it, before taking it off to clean into the corners and any fiddly areas the sweeper won't reach. I find that these wipes are great for getting up any dirt and grime on the floor, and often even when I think the floor is clean, these manage to get off dirt I didn't realise was there.

They leave my floor looking really clean and seem to add a bit of shine to the floor too.

Another great thing about these wipes is that the floor dries really quickly after using them, so it's OK to walk on it within around 5 minutes, and it doesn't leave the floor slippery either.

These wipes are suitable for use on linoleum, tiles and laminate. They kill bacteria as well, so will leave your floors hygienically clean, great if you have little ones crawling about.

Overall, I'm very impressed with these. To be honest, I've used a lot of different brands of floor wipes, and haven't found much difference between them, but for the price these are great and do everything you would expect a floor wipe to do, so why pay more?
