Advantages: Quick to use, anti-bacterial, suitable for lots of uses, smell nice
Disadvantages: not good on tough stains,
I hate spending good money on cleaning products, yet although they're not the most economical choice overall, I always keep a packet of cleaning wipes under the sink as they're just so convenient!
I used to use Wilkinson's own brand which I was always more than happy with, however I noticed that Tesco's own were slightly cheaper, so I decided to try those out instead.
The wipes come in a yellow packet with a picture of a dish of lemons on the front, as these contain 'natural citrus extracts'. Like most of these sort of things they have a re-sealable tab, however I found that it lost its stickiness about quarter of the way through the pack, which was a bit of a pain as I would often find that the top wipe had dried out a bit.
These wipes are 'multi action' and suitable for kitchen, bathroom and in fact most areas of the home. The only thing it says not to use these on is carpets, fabric and upholstery, which I think is common sense anyway. They will kill bacteria including E.coli, Listeria and Salmonella too if the packet is to be believed, and it's nice to have some reassurance about these things.
The wipes themselves are a decent thickness - they're not the thickest ones I've used, however they're thick enough so that they will do the job without falling apart which is more than good enough for me. You will also note that they have a perforation down the middle, so you can tear in half to get double the amount of wipes, therefore better value for money. I must admit, for most jobs I find that I need the full wipe, but some smaller jobs, only need half, and so it's nice to have that option.
I love anything citrus fragranced, and these have a lovely lemon smell which leave things smelling fresh and clean.
In terms of actual cleaning, so far I have found them to be very effective. I usually use them to wipe down the washing machine and fridge/freezer in my kitchen, but I've also used them as monitor screen wipes and yesterday I used one to remove a mark from my laminate floor. With tougher stains, these sometimes struggle, which is why I tend to use a spray cleaner and a cloth most of the time, but for general sort of 'top-up' cleaning and little jobs, these are ideal.
My one slight criticism would be that that surfaces can sometimes take around a minute to dry fully, however once dry there is no sticky residue, just a fresh lemon smell.
You can buy these wipes in two pack sizes. Regular means half wipes as mentioned, large is the full sized wipe:
80 regualr/40 large - £1.00
120 regular/60 large -£1.80
Overall, I think these are very good wipes and will be happy to continue buying them. They're suitable for most surfaces, do the job well and are reasonably priced.
Summary: Worth a try
