Excellent clean and shine (Tesco Anti-bacterial Multi Action Wipes Citrus)

Having 3 young boys I am always cautious about bacteria in the kitchen as this is where I make all their meals and school dinners so I always like to try and do my best when it comes to cleaning it. On a recent trip to Tesco I spotted these wipes and as they were over a pound cheaper than what I usually buy and as we are trying to cut our spending at the moment I decided I would give them a go.

~~THE PACKET~~

The wipes come in a yellow plastic packet which slightly resemble the packaging of baby wipes. The main colour is yellow and there is a picture of a bowl of lemons as these wipes have a natural citrus fragrance to them. The title is at the top and at the bottom of the packet is a green banner with the claims that these wipes kill 99.99% of all bacteria including E.coli, Listeria and Salmonella. The back of the packet does have quite a lot of information regarding the storage and use of the wipes and also the ingredients which have been used to make them.

On the front of the placket is a clear sticky tab which is to be pulled back to remove the wipes and then it can be stuck back down to ensure the wipes stay moist.

~~THE WIPES~~

The first thing I noticed when opening the packet of wipes was the smell. It is very strong and smells of lemons. I did at first think it was slightly too string but after a few second it did fade. The actual wipes are a good size and measure approximately 15 cm squared. I did however find that when I tries to remove one of the wipes two always came out but for me this did add to the thickness of them. The wipes are white in colour.

~~USE~~

I originally decided that I would use the wipes in my kitchen and after wiping the surfaces with them I did notice that the worktops did have a nice shine but for the first few seconds there was what seemed like a soapy appearance on them. Now I am no expert and don't have scientific equipment in my kitchen so I cannot comment on how well they removed any bacteria but from sight they did remove all of the marks and bits which were on my worktops. I also used these to wipe over the top of my cooker and I did notice how much more dirt they removed than the previous brand which I used.

Since I bough my first packet I have bought others and they are also now used in my bathroom. They make the cleaning of this room so much quicker and easier. After the boys have been in each morning and got their toothpaste everywhere I find all I have to do is lightly wipe the sink and toilet top and it comes away so much more easier. I also find they are great for giving my bath a nice shine.

These wipes can in fact be used all around the house and I have at times used them for dusting my windowsills when I have run out of polish and they do a super job.

~~FRAGRANCE~~

As I have previously said these wipes do have a scent of lemon and at first it is very strong but after a few seconds this does dull down. I do find that the fragrance does slight last and makes my bathroom and kitchen smell very fresh and clean. The only downside to the smell is that it gets stuck on my fingers and no matter how many times I wash my hands t still remains for a good half an hour. I would recommend that you do not use these wipes before making food as the smell might be off putting whilst eating.

~~PRICE AND AVAILABILITY~~

Well as you will probably guess from the name of these wipes they are available at only Tesco. The packet which I have contains 80 wipes and they are around the 80p mark at the moment which I found to be a super price. The wipes do also come in a large packet of 160 wipes which is around the £1.60.

~~OVERALL~~

Overall I am going to definitely recommend these wipes as they have made my kitchen and bathroom so much more visibly cleaner and the light fragrance which is left by them makes my rooms smell fresh and clean. I have dropped a star off this product for the smell which it leaves on my fingers after use.
