Advantages: It works

Disadvantages: none

There are loads of toilet cleaners out there, but I prefer a nice thick bleach to squirt around the bowl.
Tesco Thick Bleach is what it says it is a thick bleach. Priced at 60p for 750ml it is cheaper than it's counterparts.

The bottle is dark blue and has a bent neck for applying under the loo rim, there is a citrus version in a yellow bottle. The lid is red and child proof- it has the squeeze and turn which is easier than the push down and turn. The label tells us that it's 'Thick Bleach 24 hour fresh'. 750ml is a nice size to hold and the bleach is easy to squirt, the spout let's you guide and control the flow (great if like me you tend to slop stuff everywhere).

The bleach itself is the same as any other, slightly yellow, nice and thick and has that strong familiar bleachy smell.

It claims 24 hour freshness and I think it delivers on this, as the toilet smells okay in between cleans. It sticks to the bowl nicely lasting a few flushes. I use this for things other than putting in the loo, I actually clean the outside of the bowl with it, diluted of course- it mixes well with water.

I have on occasion used it neat to get stains out of whites, it does but I have damaged material with it if left on too long, it does warn you of these things but I never listen!! (maybe I shouldn't be so lazy and dilute and soak it instead- although on patterned white t-shirts that's not an option).

This morning I have just used some (first neat then rinsed off) on mildew on the wall and it washed it off with no problems.

I put it down the sinks but try to avoid the plugholes as they do discolour that's where the spout comes in handy as I can put this directly in the plug 'holes' and squeeze. It leaves them smelling clean.

I try not to use this bleach too often as it's bad for the environment so therefore a bottle can last a month or so.

I would recommend this product

5 Stars from me

Summary: Thick bleach is the same as the dearer brands
