Advantages: Cheap and do the job
Disadvantages: Don't wash well, bit harsh
When it comes to miscellaneous cleaning items such as sponges, cloths and dusters, I tend to purchase whatever is cheapest at the time. One item I always keep in is a pack of dish cloths as I think they are quite versatile and can be used for general cleaning as well as for washing up. I won't pay a fortune for such an item though so I always purchase the Tesco Value Dish Cloths.
For the price of 75p, you get 5 cloths in a pack, though at present you can get 2 packs for the price of £1.00 which makes them even better value for money.
The cloths are white, square and quite thick. They are thicker than I would have expected them to be and hold together pretty well. I tend to use them to clean over the kitchen work surfaces as well as in the washing up bowl and they are pretty good.
They have a slightly harsh feel to them but they have never damaged any of my surfaces or appliances when I have cleaned them down with these dish cloths.
For the price, I often just dispose of them when I am done with them as they are the kind of product that will soon have germs lingering on them so it is best to dispose of them after they have had decent usage. If you wish to save a bit of money though, you can wash them in the washing machine. I have done this previously with these dish cloths and I have never had a problem with them. The only thing with washing them is that they do end up slightly distorted shape-wise after washing but they do hold together well and are perfectly usable again after washing, though for the price you pay, I think it is less hassle to just dispose of them & buy a new pack.
The dish cloths come in a clear, cellophane packet and can be found down the cleaning aisle of Tesco's stores. Obviously with these being from the Tesco Value range, they are exclusive to Tesco's stores.
Overall, these are pretty decent dish cloths for the price and they do a good job so I don't personally feel the need to spend money on a better brand of dish cloths when these Value ones do the job just as well. They are cheap, quite thick and don't fall apart easily and therefore they come with a recommendation from me.
Summary: A decent pack of dish cloths from the Tesco Value range
