Advantages: Cheap, easy to use, works
Disadvantages: Strong smell, not suitable for glass or mirrors, must not get it on cloth or material
Cleaning is one of my favourite pastimes. I kid you not I love a clean tidy, fresh smelling home. I also love buying cleaning products (I mean come on I do love to shop full stop lol) and regularly buy products to help make my cleaning as easy and breezy as possible.
Now I live with my folks. My Mother is an early riser and likes to do things her way. By 8am my house is immaculate so all I have to do really is keep my bedroom clean and tidy really. However if she's not in I will of course clean up etc. Although this is a kitchen spray I bought it originally to use to remove some marks on a bedroom cupboard cos it was cheap lol So when she went out the other day I decided once I'd used a bit for it's original purpose that I had in mind that I'd give the kitchen a wipe over!
The Packaging....
Large white tall bottle with orange and clearish plastic spray action nozzle to the the top of it. The front label is orange and yellow and on that in white, yellow and orange writing I'm told it's Tesco, Kitchen Spray With Bleach and that it kills germs and removes grime and there is a drawing of a clean sink and hob in a kitchen. On the back of the bottle there is a white sticky label on there and on that all in black writing I'm told a bit about the product, directions for use, warnings are given, product information is listed, contact details for Tesco are given, the size is stated (500ml) and finally there is a bar-code on there. It's a simple bottle with enough information on it you may need to know and doesn't scream cheap or anything. It's a good quality bottle to handle and I like the safety piece of plastic on the nozzle that twists round easily (you can turn it on and off) which means no accidents!
A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Bottle...
Suitable for use on cooker tops, kitchen work surfaces.
Cleans easily and disinfects.
Kills bacteria that can be the cause of common food poisoning.
Directions For Use....
Surfaces must be cool before application. Try the product on an inconspicuous area first. Turn the spray nozzle to the 'on' position. Spray directly onto surface, wipe with a clean cloth or paper tow then rinse immediately. Return the spray nozzle to the 'off' position.
Using It....
The spray itself is clear (no colour at all). It sprays out wet and the consistency of it is like water. Smell wise it's very bleach like as expected but they've tried to disguise it with some other smell, just not well! lol However although strong once used the smell fades after about an hour and it does smell clean.
So all you do is spray of course wherever you want to clean as it's suitable really for anywhere. I personally cleaned pretty much everywhere in our kitchen. I found it all to be relatively easy but to be fair I wasn't trying to remove ten ton of muck or anything.
Work surfaces were simple to clean. I sprayed a little on and wiped ot off straight away. Grease and grime was removed on my cloth and any residue left from the spray was dried within seconds. Hob had a bit of glued on food most of that wiped off easily but I did have some remaining bits stuck on so I simply sprayed a little of this on, left in on a minute or two and went back and wiped it and yep it came clean away very easily. It brought my stainless steel sink up bright and shiny and even worked over some tiles situated at the back of the sink and they came up shiny and lot cleaner. I even wiped our tiled floor and in the cupboards and again everything came up shiny and clean, with no residue left behind, no tacky feeling and it's none sticky (which is a good job as I used it on our floor lol).
It is very simple to use and does a great job. You can't use this on glass or mirrors as they go streaky and grimy looking but everywhere else I used it was absolutely fine. It never irritated my skin (I did wash my hands after using it) and all in all it's a good economy buy that leaves everywhere looking, feeling and smelling clean.
Only available in Tesco priced 57p.
Summary: A great, cheap option to clean your house up!
