“ Brand: Tesco / Type: Fabric Conditioner / Category: Laundry „
I am not fussy about fabric conditioners as I believe apart from the length of time the scent lasts they are all pretty much the same, I bought this Farbic conditioner because there were none of the branded ones on offer. The fabric conditioner costs £2 for a 1.5 litre bottle although you often get them on offer at 2 bottles for £3.50.
The product comes packaged in a plastic bottle with a green screw top lid, the liquid inside is a pale green and on the front of the bottle it states that the bottle will do 42 washes, the picture on the front of the bottle is off some white and green flowers.
It states on the bottle the product contains amongst other ingredients, Cationic Surfactant, 5-15% Also contains, Perfumes, Benzyl Alcohol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Alpha-isomethyl ionone, Linalool , Butylphenyl methylpropional, Coumarin, Formaldehyde and 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1, 3-diol. There are a couple of warnings on the bottle such as you should not put the product directly on clothing and the product should always be diluted.
To use the product you simply pour the required amount into the softener part of your washing machine, the doseage information is that a capful is 36mls and you need 55ml for a 6-7kg load, 35ml for a 4-5kg load and 35ml if you are using it with handwashing. I personally only ever use one capful and my washing machine holds 6kgs and I find that this works perfectly fine.
When using the product the liquid is quite runny so make sure you pour carefully as I did end up with it all over the floor when I first tried to pour it. The fragrance is nice and light and smells like freshly cut grass to me which I like, the smell lasts quite well on the clothes and the clothes feel lovely and soft after use. I have found that this softener works really well on heavy towels also which is great as I find that some leave clothes soft but towels still rough and as I hjave two young children I like to make sure they always have soft warm towels for after the bath.
This isn't my favourite but simply as I really like Comfort and Lenor as I find the fragrances last longer than this but is there were no offers on I would certainly buy this one again.
I have been using this brand of concentrated fabric conditioner for about 4 years now and have never changed within that time.
I first chose this fabric conditioner because of the price. It's usually £1.09 but often it is available on offer at 2 for £2. It's not a huge saving but as Tesco says "Every Little Bit Helps".
The fabric conditioner is pale green and it comes in a clear 750ml bottle so that you can see the liquid. The cap is a pale green screw cap top and it is deep so that you can use the cap to measure the fabric conditioner. The fabric conditioner is easy to pour and has a nice runny consistency but also maintains a silky thickness. This product is also available in a larger size of 1.5L.
The fabric conditioner is called meadow fresh and it does have a really fresh clean smell. My clothes always come out smelling nice and feeling soft and my clothes maintain the scent for a good few days after drying. There are other scents available as well - I also like the spring fresh scent.
The fabric conditioner usually lasts me about 3 or 4 months and I do about 2 loads of washing each week, sometimes more. I only use about half a cap full which is adequate, although I usually put a full cap in for towels and bed linen. The packaging suggests that you can get 21 washes out of the bottle and it is true. I find it usually lasts for between 25 and 30 washes which I think is great value for money.
All in all this is a great product, for a great price. It does everything I require a fabric conditioner to do. I would certainly recommend this product to anyone looking to try a new fabric conditioner.
I buy this fabric Softener now and again from Tesco. I tried it a couple of years ago and it is a nice scented product and the price isn't bad either.
I've seen this in 2 different sizes. It's normally the 750ml bottle that I go for, but 1 time the 1.5 litre bottle was on an offer so it was worth buying this size. The 750ml used to be on an offer for £1 now and again but I haven't seen that price for a while now. I think the right price is £1.20 thesedays.
The bottle for this looks alright. It's just like the dooyoo picture - as usual. It looks nice and fresh enough with a Meadow scene on the front. I always have to have a little sniff of the Softener before I buy it just so I know if it smells the same.
Just use this in the usual way. measure out the liquid in the cap and pour into the drawer in your machine. It gives the recommended measurement on the back of the bottle. I normally do my washing when it is a full load so it's always a full cap that I put in. It does state that a full cap can be used for extra softness as well.
The smell of this is lovely. It smells light and airy. I wouldn't exactly say it smells like cut grass or that, but there is a meadow scent to this which is just as well due to the name of this. It smells quite strong when you first pour this in, but after your clothes are washed and dried then there is just a nice soft scent on this on your washing. I can still smell this faintly the next day if I have worn an item and popped it on the next day again.
A good Softener at a good price and just the kind of scent that I go for.
For some reason I always enjoy trying out new fabric conditioners and the latest one I found was on a recent shopping trip to Tesco. It was the name which appealed to me as I do like the smell of cut grass and meadows so I decided to give it a try.
The fabric conditioner come in a clear plastic bottle which shows the green coloured liquid inside. Around the centre of the bottle is a plastic label which on the front and back has the product name, Tesco logo and a picture of a white flower. The sides of the label have all of the product information, directions for use and storage. The top of the bottle has a green plastic lid which doubles as the measuring cap.
~~USE AND RESULTS~~
It is very simple to use the fabric conditioner and to do so you pour the required amount into the measuring cap and then pour this into the correct compartment in your washing machine. The suggested amounts are:-
1 full cap for large loads or extra freshness
¾ cap for normal loads
And 1/4cap for hand washing
The liquid is easy to pour as it is quite runny and I find the cap makes it easy to get the liquid in the small compartment on my washing machine as it is quite narrow.
When opening the bottle there is a nice pleasant smell which reminds me of grass and flowers, I would have liked more of the smell to have been of freshly cut grass as do love this smell and it would have been more suitable for the product name. Putting this aside I did like the smell and found t was not too overpowering. When I had poured the required amount into the machine, and the load had got well underway I was able to start to smell the scent again. I noticed it became more noticeable as the wash went on and found this to be very nice and somehow comforting on a wet and rainy day. Once the wash had finished and I took the wet clothes out of the machine I could smell the fragrance all over them and it was much stronger than when I had imagined.
The fragrance was still noticeable when the clothes had been dried in the tumble dryer and I was very happy with the end result as it was not overly strong but just enough to make it noticeable, the clothes were also very soft and so too were my large bath towels. when the washing had been put away and I returned to the wardrobe I was able to still faintly smell the fragrance and this was the case for about 3 days after it had been used.
I have used nearly all of my bottle now and am very happy with the results that I get each time. The scent is not too feminine so hubby does not mind his uniform being washed in this and it makes all of my boys clothes feel softer and fresher.
The bottle which I have is a 1.5 litre sized one and this claims to do 42 washes. I am coming near the end of my bottle and have actually had over this amount of washes so am very pleased with the pack size.
There are some warnings on the bottle which include the usually ones of storing in a cool place, keeping out of reach of children, wash hands after use and avoid contact with eyes, these are really all common sense things.
The ingredients which are used for this softener include:-
5-15% Cationic Surfacant
Perfumes, Benzyl Alcohol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Linalool, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Coumarin, Formaldehyde and 2-Bromo-2Nitropropane-1, 3-Diol
You can find a more detailed list of ingredients at www.persan.es
The bottle is made from 100% plastic so can be fully recycled. Tesco state that this product has not been tested on animals in any way.
~~PRICE AND AVAILABILITY~~
As this is a Tesco own brand then it is only available in their stores. The 1.5 litre bottle comes at just under £2 and there is a smaller bottle available for around the £1 mark. I think this is excellent value as you do get the stated amount of washes from the bottle and sometimes more.
I do recommend this fabric conditioner as the smell is great and suits both male and female users. The softness is excellent and so to is the lasting fragrance. I would suggest that if you are unsure then to go for the smaller bottle but overall it works out better vale to buy the bigger bottle. Definitely a good 5 stars from me despite the fragrance not being as I would have hoped.
