Advantages: Cheap, lasts a good 20+ washes

Disadvantages: None at all! Other than it is washing and then involves ironing!!!!!!!!!

I am one of those people who hate drying their washing indoors. I try my hardest to not use the Tumble dryer, mainly due to cost but I love to see washing drying outside on a washing line and gently swaying in the breeze. I am also quite picky over what washing powder and fabric softener that I use. I do not like to be forced into choosing a product because of its cost but this is what it usually boils down to and so for most of my washing I use the Tesco Pure Fabric Softener.

As many of you are aware, I do a weekly shop in my local Tesco and it is here that I can pick up a bottle of the Tesco fabric softener for the price of 96p, what a buy, in fact at present the fabric conditioner is even cheaper with a further saving of 10p making it only 86p for 2 litres of the product.

The Fabric conditioner comes in a plastic bottle, which is recyclable and as I stated it 2 litres in size capacity. You can buy other bottles for a higher cost (Lenor for example is £2.86 for the same size) and I can not simply justify this price. The plastic is slightly transparent so you can see the conditioner through the bottle. It is white in colour and looks instantly fresh, just how I like my washing!

The design of the bottle is very simple, it has the tesco logo on the front alongside the word 'Pure' it also features a picture of a baby. The back of the plastic bottle has directions for use, ingredient information, warnings and that the product can last you for up to 20 washes.

To open the bottle is really easy, there is a screw top lid at the top of the bottle which once opened leaves you being able to dispense the product. The directions for use are as follows (wording from the actual bottle :)

A full cap holds 100ml

6-7 kg of washing requires 140ml of the softener

4-5 kg of washing (a normal load) requires 100ml

55ml is required for hand washing

What I notice as soon as I open the product is the fantastic smell; it really is gorgeous and makes washing slightly less of a chore! It is difficult to describe the fragrance but it is really pure and fresh and has something slightly floral about it but not at all overpowering (You can also buy this product in Lavender scent) I guess with a name like Pure that is the main aim of the fragrance, to be fresh and leave you feeling fresh in your clothes.

I have found that the product does last me a good 20 plus washes and so is really economical for me. On a sunny/windy day and I can get my washing on the line outside there really is no better smell than this fabric conditioner on your clothes.

The softener also leaves your clothes feeling really soft against your skin. I am lucky enough to not suffer with many skin problems but I have never had any irritation from using this product. It gives the fabric a really gentle feel to them and when you put them on for the first time after washing they are so soft.

In conclusion I am really happy with this product and even though it does not make iron any easier in my opinion it is still really economical on price, lasts for a good amount of washes and is so soft on fabrics. The scent is really the icing on the cake.
