Tesco Pure Concentrated Fabric Softener
Advantages: Leaves clothes smelling fresh and lovely and soft
Disadvantages: None for me
When purchasing fabric conditioner I now have to look for one which is going to be suitable to wash Jayden's clothes in, I had been using Comfort Pure over the last few weeks as I had money off coupons, however when I did my most recent shop I didn't have any coupons for Comfort so I decided to see if there was anything that was similar but a bit cheaper, I didn't mind paying for the Comfort fabric conditioner but if I could find something cheaper and save a bit of money I would rather do that. I noticed that Tesco did their own Pure Concentrated Fabric Conditioner so decided to give it a go.
The Tesco Pure Concentrated Fabric Conditioner comes in a large rectangle clear plastic bottle which has a chunky cream coloured lid on top which screws on and off, this also doubles up as the dosage cap. The bottle has a plastic label wrapped around the whole thing, the front and back of the bottle are exactly the same consisting of the name of the product "Tesco Pure Concentrated Fabric Conditioner" written in purple writing inside a flower shape, next to this is a small flower shape with "For Sensitive Skin" written inside of it. Right at the bottom of the label is written "Guaranteed Freshness" and the amount of washes that this bottle will do. The rest of the label is taken up with a picture of a toddler wearing a white hooded top. All of the product information is written on the two narrow sides of the bottle consisting of what the product does, directions for use, the dosage, warnings and additional information.
The Fabric Conditioner
Tesco Pure Concentrated Fabric Conditioner is basically a white liquid which has a runny consistency. The fabric conditioner is suitable for sensitive skin and dermatologicaly tested making it gentle on your whole families skin, this makes it ideal for me to wash Jayden's clothes in as I know that it is unlikely to cause him any irritation. This product guarantees freshness so when I first used this product I was hopeful that my washing would come out of the machine clean and fresh and most importantly feeling lovely and soft, I wanted a product that I could use on all of my washing ranging from our clothes to the towels and bedding, obviously it is important that our clothes are soft and smelling fresh but I feel it is equally as important for our towels and bedding to feel just as soft so for me this product needed to work on all types of washing.
The Tesco Pure Fabric Conditioner has a lovely soft floral musky fragrance, the fragrance is not too strong or over powering yet it is strong enough to leave your clothes smelling clean and fresh, I didn't want anything with a too strong fragrance when it came to washing Jayden's clothes so this is perfect, after I have washed his clothes using this they smell clean and you can smell the fabric conditioner on them for some time afterwards, however this is not too strong and there is no chemical smell either.
The different doses are written on the side of the bottle and include
* Normal loads 4 -5kg - 1 cap
* Large loads 6 -7kg or extra softness and freshness - 1 1/3 caps
* Hand Washing (10 litres of water) - 1/2 cap
Personally I tend to just go for one cap full of fabric conditioner per wash as I rarely do large loads and I find that one cap is plenty to keep my washing smelling clean and fresh and feeling extremely soft.
Directions for Use
Using the fabric conditioner is pretty standard for this type of product, you simply pour the correct amount of fabric conditioner into the draw of the washing machine. You must not pour the fabric conditioner directly onto the clothes in the machine.
Again these are on the side of the bottle and include
* Keep out of reach of children
* Avoid contact with eyes, if this occurs rinse immediately and seek medical advise
* May not be suitable for people with severe skin condition
* If you suffer with unusually sensitive skin contact your doctor
Price and Availability
Obviously I purchased this product from my local Tesco as this is one their own range products. The 1.5litre bottle of cost me just £1.70, I thought this was a bargain as you get 42 washes out of one bottle. Tesco Pure Fabric Conditioner is much cheaper than other brands of a similar product and personally I feel it is excellent value for money.
I have used my Tesco Pure Fabric Conditioner several time now and so far I have been extremely impressed with it. The fabric conditioner leaves all of my washing extremely soft and smelling clean and fresh, this product does an excellent job of caring for all of my washing and I can happily wash Jayden's clothes in this product and know that they are going to be left felling soft and smelling lovely without irritating his skin. The fabric conditioner is excellent value for money and lasts for a reasonable amount of time. I would definitely purchase this product in the future as it really does what it is supposed to and is much cheaper than other brands, this is certainly a product that I would recommend to anyone.
Summary: A nice gentle fabric conditioner
