“ Brand: Tesco / Type: Fabric Conditioner / Category: Laundry „
I'm never brand loyal when it comes to fabric conditioner and often buy what happens to be on offer, one thing I almost always do though is give the softener a quick sniff in the shop to make sure it smells nice. The last time I bought fabric conditioner I broke my own rule and didn't smell it before I bought it.
The fabric softener in question is Tesco Sleep Easy Fabric Conditioner, its a pale purple colour and has a picture of lavender heads on the label, seeing this I made the assumption that the fragrance was going to be lavender, I was wrong.
Tesco Sleep Easy Fabric Conditioner is sold in a square clear plastic bottle with a pale purple lid which doubles up as the measuring cap. The front of the label shows the Tesco logo and informs the customer that this is Sleep Easy concentrated fabric conditioner with scent release. The label also states that this bottle will give you 42 washes and offers guaranteed freshness.
The rest of the bottle gives all the relevant information you would expect to find for a product like this such as directions for use, dosage, ingredients and a few warnings which are standard for a laundry product like this.
When I did get around to giving the conditioner a sniff I was a bit disappointed that there was no lavender fragrance to it however it does smell very nice, very floral and quite sweet, its a nice summery fragrance.
After using this for the first time I was pleased with hw my washing felt and smelt, everything felt soft and smelt clean and fresh, the floral fragrance was very faint on the clothes but they all smelt nice. I do find that if I used a particularly strong smelling washing liquid the fragrance of Sleep Easy disappears completely.
When I put clean linen on the bed I can very faintly smell the conditioner however once on the smell is gone, it's the same with towels, in the cupboard I can still smell the softener faintly but once in the bathroom it has gone, and I have not experienced the scent release at all, this is supposed to give you a burst of fragrance which is released with every touch.
That aside though I would buy this again if the price is right, as a fabric conditioner it works well but the fragrance lets it down slightly I would prefer it to be a bit stronger an I would have liked some lavender scent in there too.
Tesco Sleep Easy currently costs £1.00 for a 750ml bottle.
When it comes to washing my clothes, the fragrance they end up sporting when I've washed them is very important to me. I love my clothes and not only do I want them to be impeccably clean I want them to feel soft and smell gorgeous too.
Spending a lot usually on products such as this I decided on trying something out a bit cheaper than I usually spend and thats when I spotted this product and costing £1, and after sniffing this product and liking it alot it ended up in my already bulging trolley!
Well the lilac liquid is stored in a see-through bottle that holds 750ml of the product (thats 21 washes to you and me, as stated on the bottle) and on both the front and the back of it I am told that it is Tesco Sleep Easy Concentrated Fabric Conditioner, that it has a scent release and guaranteed freshness and there is a photograph of lavender on there. Other information on the bottle tells me a bit about the product and directions and dosage advice is given as well as warnings, the size is stated (as I've listed already) and contact details for Tesco are given. The lilac cap to the top of it can be used to measure the liquid out into if desired and twists on/off with ease and under that there is there is a large hole. It's a nice enough, plain and simple bottle really that is of course as informative as it needs to be.
A Bit About The Product According To The Information Given On The Bottle:
Tesco Sleep Easy Concentrated Fabric Conditioner, beautiful fragrances released with every touch, to stimulate your senses and lift your day.
Well all you do with this thin, lilac, slightly milky looking fabric softener is to add it to your washer machine drawer. Dosage advice is given on the bottle, basically for a full wash though I fill my fabric softener compartment up with this prior to switching it on.
The smell when poured into the machine is that of sweet lavender. Natural but not harsh with a nice slight sweetness to it I loved the smell of this at first sniff and found it to be of good quality and somewhat relaxing!
When the washing was done my kitchen smelt gorgeous, and not only that so did all my fabrics. My clothes and bedding feel soft and highly fragranced but are not overpowering or anything like that.
When dried I noticed everything still smelt wonderful. Clothes I wore after straight after using this smelt really fresh and clean and felt good and I even noticed that for some reason ironing felt easier too. I stored some bedding in a cupboard to use at a later date and a lovely lingering smell stayed in there for ages and when I eventually did put it on my bed it was still feeling soft and had a delicate aroma to it (a week or so later).
The smell of course does eventually wear off however. Take the bedding it smelt fresh first day it on but by the nighttime the fragrance had vanished which was a bit sad but all in all I'm pleased with the results this gives and like I say, whilst the fragrance does stay about it is really lovely and relaxing and whats more this is suitable for using in hand-washing!
This is only available in Tesco stores costing £1.00 per 750ml bottle.
