“ Brand: Tesco / Type: Fabric Conditioner / Category: Laundry „
Another day and yet another wash is on for me. I have to say I probably do far too much washing all for myself washing stuff at least once daily as I'm a bit of a fuss pot and in particular I like clean and fresh bedding and towels. Because of this obsession with doing washing I am constantly on the look out for reasonable fabric softeners/conditioners and I often opt for whatever offers me the best value for money. This fabric conditioner was a cheaper option in my local Tesco store last time I was buying a product such as this and it cost me 90p for a 750ml sized bottle which seemed great value to me considering how much Lenor and Comfort and the likes cost yet I didn't want a 'Value' product or anything like that and I sniffed at my bottle of this and liked it before I purchased it in store. The Packaging: The bottle of this is nice enough. The liquid comes in a mostly see through bottle which is squarish in shape with a yellow coloured twist on/off cap to the top of it which matches the yellow plastic label which goes around the middle of the bottle and on the front and back of that we are told that it is Tesco Summer Fresh Concentrated Fabric Conditioner 'With Scent Release' and that it gives about 21 washes. Other information listed on the sides of the bottle includes being told a bit about the product and directions for use are given, the size is stated (as I have listed already) , ingredients are listed and contact details for Tesco are given. The Fabric Conditioner Itself: Well unlike the photograph shown for this product at the top of this review page the liquid of this is a light yellow colour now and creamy but runny looking, maybe the colour of this product has changed since the link here was originally requested but it certainly is the same product. To use it is of course simple. All you do is to fill the cap with the liquid and put it directly into your washing machine drawer, for larger loads or bigger washing machines you can use a cap and a half and for hand washing we are advised to use about half a cap. It is easy to pour out and has a lovely, fresh fragrance of very sweet florals to it and is a lightish summery scent. It isn't sickly sweet though and is a suitable fragrance for all the family as it really is really very nice indeed. This leaves fabrics smelling fresh and that fragrance lingers on fabrics washed with this for about a week which I think is fabulous. It leaves fabrics feeling soft but not overly so and I must admit I even think that this makes ironing easier. I particularly like this on my bedding it makes my bedding feel so fresh and clean and my pillowcases are so soft to sleep on. All in all this is a great fabric conditioner and I did get 21 washes from this by following the directions on the bottle which is generally 1 cap per load which is more than enough for each of my washes, generous in fact. Only available in Tesco stores and other fragrances in this formula are available for the same price. This review is also posted on Ciao under this same username.
I like my clothes and bedding to smell nice and fresh, I like them to have the smell of a fabric conditioner on them when I take them out of the drawer or out of my wardrobe. I had forgotten this one had not been used until recently so I thought I would use it before buying another one. It cost around a £1 for a 750ml bottle and a little bit more than the Value conditioner, the bottle is a clear plastic and it has a screw off top. The conditioner of this one I do not think is so rich as some other cheaper brands and I can only smell a little of the fragrance of which I think has a slight perfume to it but nothing special. I think it is quite a pleasant mild smell of perfume. The bottle can wash up to 21 washes and I just use a capful in the wash, I have sometimes used a little extra to see if it helps in the wash because I cannot smell the fragrance very much on the clothing when I have taken them from the machine. I usually can smell a fragrance on clothing when using a branded one or even a cheaper one but with this one I cannot smell much at all. It is supposed to be a concentrated one but I would say it did not appear to be concentrated because I had to use a little extra at times. I also have found that it does not soften the clothes very much and my towels do not have that softness that they usually do have. I found this did not soften them much and they feel a little hard. Not the feeling I like on my towels because I have lots of grandchildren and I like my towels to feel soft on their skin but this conditioner did not give that softness. I found my bed sheets and duvet covers did not have a smell to them and I like to have a nice smelling bed when I get into bed at night time but I could only smell a small amount of fragrance on them and they did not have the refreshing smell I like for bedding. My wife did use this for hand washing and it did rinse very well from the clothes but it had the same effect after soaking them for a little bit in the water. The smell was still only slight and not suitable for the clothing that she hand washed. I would not buy this one again because it didn't give enough smell for my clothing and I suppose it would be fine if anyone wanted just a slight smell but for me it didn't have enough for my liking. I would much rather just wait for the special offer conditioners. I rate this one 3 stars.
I always use fabric conditioner when doing my washing because I hate it when clothes go stiff when they dry, and I love the smell that fabric conditioner adds to your washing. I'm not really loyal to any brands, and generally buy whatever's cheapest or on offer. I've found lately though, that the past few times I have been shopping, this attitude has led me to ending up with Tesco fabric conditioner due to its excellent price making it the best value for money. The bottle is priced at £1.95 for 1.5 litres, or are often on offer at £3 for 2 x 1.5 litre bottles. I find this good value in comparison to the branded products, because the fabric conditioner is concentrated so you only use half as much as you would normally use. I tend to fill the cap about half full and a big bottle like this lasts me ages. For this reason, when I see them on offer I tend to stock up. The bottle is clear with yellow in the middle (not as pictured on dooyoo anymore). It has pictures of flowers which fit in with the theme of "Summer Fresh" - the name of the fabric conditioner. You can see through the bottle that the liquid is also yellow in colour. I love the smell of this fabric conditioner - I couldn't really pinpoint exactly what it smells like (it just smells of summer!), but it smells floral and is very uplifting. I've not had any problems with the fabric conditioner or its results. The clothes always come out feeling soft, although I tend to use a bit more for towels and bedding because I am a comfort junkie. It smells gorgeous and I love the smell that wafts through the house as the clothes are drying. The only downside I can think of is that it might not appeal to men as they could think it smells too girly. My other half quite likes it, but I would understand if he thought it smelt a bit feminine. Having said that, most fabric conditioners do for some reason, I guess they're never going to smell of beer! I will probably stick with this fabric conditioner unless another one appears to be better value when I'm doing my sums down the supermarket aisle.
I have tried numerous different fabric conditioners as I simply love nice smells, this fabric conditioner is one from the Tesco brand which I decided to try, it is not from the value range but from the next step up. There are numerous different fragrances available in this range, purple - sleep easy, yellow - summer fresh, blue - spring fresh, white - pure and green which is meadow fresh. Each fragrance is available in two different sizes 750ml and 1.5 litres, the 750mls does 21 wash loads and costs £1 and the 1.5 litre does 42 wash loads and costs £1.95 so not really much of a saving by buying the bigger bottle. The conditioner comes in a plastic bottle which is see through allowing you to see the product inside, I think it is a good idea when these products come in see through bottles as you are able to see when you are getting low on product. The bottle has a screw top cap which is coloured the same as the liquid which in this case is yellow although the picture above is showing the blue conditioner so not sure if Tesco may have recently changed it. The cap is also used to does your machine with the correct amount of product so I find you have to be quick putting the lid back on the bottle otherwise the dregs of liquid that haven't made the machine end up running down the bottle while you try to put the lid back on. The main ingredients of the product are listed on the back of the bottle which are Cationic Surfactant ,5-15% Also contains ,Perfumes ,citronellol ,limonene ,2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1 ,3-diol. On the bottle you are also given the doesage instructions which are 11/3 capfuls for large loads 6-7kg, 1 capful for 4-5kg loads and ½ a capful per 10 litres of water for handwashing. Personally if I have ever been handwashing I have never even thought to use fabric conditioner and I have a 6kg machine and only ever use one capful as when I tried the full amount it made no difference to the performance. I would say I feel the difference of fabric conditioner on my towels the most and especially like to make sure my babies towels are nice and soft, I would say that this product is no better and no worse than branded fabric conditioners and the only thing to let this down is the fragrance. The smell of this product is lovely and strong in the bottle and does smell just like a summers day all fresh and airy, the clothes smell lovely when they come out of the wash however this does not last. I put my clothes out to dry before I go to work and by the time I come home I can't really smell it much anymore and for this reason alone I don't buy this product. I like my clothes to smell nice and like products that linger on the clothes which is why I buy the better products when Asda have one of their cleaning events and they cost just the same as this product. I would recommend the product as a fabric conditioner but not if you want to smell it on the clothing like I do.
Tescos value conditioner. Ive recently been staying at my daughters house, and she tends to do a lot of her shopping at Tescos as this is her nearest supermarket. I have noticed the smell coming from her kitchen whilst she is doing her washing, and she told me to try Tescos Summer fresh conditioner, which is a concentrated conditioner and cost just under £2.00 for a bottle or if on special offer it costs a mere £3.00 for two 1.5 litre bottles full. It comes in a clear see through bottle and you can see the level of the conditioner so you know how much you are using or not. The cap twists on and twists off and I use mine as a measuring cup, if i do a sink full of hand washing I tend to use just half a cup full of this concentrated conditioner as thats all you need, if ive got a full wash load of clothes to was ill use a full cupfull. I love the smell thats coming off my clothes even when im drying them, and ive noticed even when ironing them with my steam iron that the smell still ligers in the clothing. I noticed that my washing has extra volume and the clothes feel lovely and plump when they have been dried in the tumble drier and they feel really soft to the feel especially my towels. I think that this product is good value for money and would recommend it to you to try. It is obviously not as good as some of the dearer makes but as a cheaper alternative I feel it is worth every penny spent. I am quite impressed with the porformance of this product and will be using this one for a while. It is concentrated so a little goes a long long way. Thanks for reading and rating my reviews.
Despite being on a budget at the moment I have yet to pluck up the courage to try Value fabric conditioner, so I always make sure what I get is on offer. My latest purchase was Tesco Summer Fresh concentrated fabric conditioner. I should mention now that my fabric conditioner is a bright yellow and not the blue in the picture Dooyoo have provided. The yellow certainly gives it a summery feel. The fabric conditioner costs £1.95 for 1.5litre bottle but is currently 2 for £3.00. This will give you 42 washes. Te bottle is clear plastic so you can easily see how much liquid is left inside, I like this. There's nothing worse than thinking there's more in there than there is and running out. The lid is a simple yellow screw top and doubles up as a little measure for the conditioner. The label is yellow with a large flower on it It tell us that it is Tesco Summer Fresh Concentrated Fabric Conditioner and has "scent release", and according to the side of the label this means that " a beautiful fragrance is released with every touch, to stimulate your senses and lift your day" well we could all do with a bit of a lift in our day couldn't we? and apparently this is the stuff that will do it! All other information such as storage, directions, ingredients and warnings can be found on the sides of the bottle. The doseage is 1 capfull for normal loads and a half a capfull for hand washing. As I mentioned the liquid is a bright yellow colour and smells very floral. Its not an overpowering fragrance but obviously floral. The smell lives up to its summer fresh name in the bottle so I was hopeful for my laundry. I poured the required capfull in my machine and left the fabric conditioner to do its work. When I opened the washing machine door the smell was gorgeous. Fresh, floral and very summery. I was impressed. My laundry felt soft, particularly towels. These were soft and fluffy. I dried my washing and found the smell to be very pleasant as the things were drying. Once dried I have to say I was slightly disappointed to find that although the things were still very soft the smell had all but gone. As for the scent release lifting my day, well, it didn't! I felt slightly cheated. Despite this my clothes and sheets were incredibly soft and did smell very faintly floral. It didn't last though and by the time I wore the clothes the smell had totally gone. I would recommend this product for the fact that its not too badly priced and does actually soften laundry but it falls down in the fragrance department which is a shame.
(Please note that for some reason the picture is showing this fabric conditioner as blue but the bottle which I have is actually a yellow coloured liquid so I don't know if Tesco have recently changed the product colour to make it look more summery.) I was so pleased when I spotted an Tesco Fabric Conditioner which had not tried before as do like trying out new ones and their fragrances and this one sounded very appealing as it is called Summer Fresh. ~~PACKAGING~~ The conditioner comes in a clear plastic bottle which shows off the yellow liquid inside. I like the clear bottles as t shows me exactly how much I have left of the product so I never run out. There is a yellow label around the middle of the bottle which has a picture of some flowers and the product name and Tesco logo on the front. The back of the label is the same and on the sides you can find all of the relevant information about the fabric conditioner. The top of the bottle is a yellow plastic screw lid. There is a small section on the inside of the lid which is the measuring cap for pouring and using the conditioner. ~~USE AND RESULTS~~ The fabric conditioner is very simple to use and to do so it should be measured and poured into the measuring cap and then poured into the correct compartment on the washing machine. The required doses are:- For large loads or extra softness - 1 full cap Normal loads - ¾ capful Small loads or hand washing - 1/3 capful I personally use 1 capful for my washing as I always have a full load. When I opened the lid on the conditioner I noticed the fragrance. It is lovely and reminds me of fresh flowers. It is not overly strong and can only really be smelt when the bottle is quite close to the nose. The smell does get stronger when the washing cycles comes to the part when this is used. Once my washing has finished I opened the machine door and was hit with the wonderful floral fragrance and I was very happy with the strength of this. The clothes did not feel any softer than usual but they were still wet. When the clothes had been dried in the tumble dryer the softness was much more noticeable and I was very happy with the results. The thick denim jeans were much softer than normal and so too was hubby's thick army uniform. I do use this on my bath towels also and was very pleased with how soft and fluffy then seemed to be. The fragrance was very noticeable for a good few days after these clothes had been hung away in the wardrobe and I loved being able to get a clean towel out of the airing cupboard and smell the scent on it when using it after my bath. I have to say though that the scent does not last too long when the clothes are being worn and after an hour I do struggle to smell it. I also found that drying my clothes in the dryer after using this fabric conditioner seemed to make the creased drop out even more and there was not a single piece of clothing which needed ironing, not even the thick jeans so this was a great bonus as I am not a fan of ironing. ~~INFO~~ The bottle size which I have is 750ml and there is a claim on the front of the bottle that this was do 21 washes. I have used nearly a full bottle and have already had 20 washes out of it and I estimate there is still another 3 washes left so it is a great bottle size. The ingredients for the fabric conditioner include:- 5-15% Cationic Surfactant, Perfumes, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Buthylphenyl Methylpropional, 2-Bromo-2-Nitropropane-1, 3-Diol, Formaldehyde You can find a full detailed list of ingredients at www.persan-es This as with all of Tesco's fabric conditioners have not been tested on animals. The bottle needs to be stored in a cool dry place and away from sunlight. There are a few warnings on the bottle and these include keeping away from animals and small children, not to consume the product, wash hands after use and avoid contact with eyes. ~~PRICE AND AVAILABILTY~~ This is a Tesco own brand product so it can only be bought in their stores. This 750ml sized bottle is priced at £1 which I think is great value for money as it does last over the stated 21 washes. There is a larger sized bottle available for just under £2 which does work out to be better value for money but this was not available when I bought this one. ~~RECOMMENDED?~~ I have to give this fabric conditioner the full 5 stars. The smell is great and lasts and the softness it gives to even thick clothes is excellent. The fragrance is floral but this can be used for both men's and women's clothes as the fragrance does not last for long when the clothes are being worn. I top product from Tesco.
