Advantages: Cheap, does the job

Disadvantages: None

I like to bleach my toilets every other day just to keep them clean and fresh. For this reason I go through a lot of bleach and if I chose branded bleaches it would end up costing me a fortune, that's why I opt for own brands. The bleach I'm using for my upstairs toilet is this pink bleach from Tesco.

The bleach comes a 750ml bottle. It's mainly pink in colour (obviously) and has all of the relevant information on the label including safety information. The bleach is available to purchase from Tesco in store or online for 60p.

As with all bleach products, the cap is actually a safety cap to stop young hands from trying to get it off. To remove it you have to push in each side of the lid then twist off. It is quite tough to do but this isn't a problem as it's reassuring that my daughter wouldn't be able to open this herself. The pink in the product name doesn't apply to the colour of the bleach, it's simply named pink bleach as the bottle is totally pink, I don't see why Tesco would need to add this into the product name.

To use the bleach you just squeeze the bottle towards the surfaces you want to use it on, the toilet bowl in my case. The bleach is a clear colour with a slight tinge of a musty colour so you can see where you have squirted the bleach. It has the normal smell you associate with bleach but this stench soon starts to go after you have finished cleaning.

I find the bleach easy to squirt around my toilet bowl as the end of the bottle of bleach has a curve on it so I can squirt it right on the top of my toilet bowl with ease. The consistency of the bleach is quite runny, but it still takes some time to run to the bottom of the bowl so it isn't as runny as water. The bleach does leave my toilet looking sparkling so I am reassured it really does work.

I'd definitely recommend this Tesco pink bleach, at only 60p it is a lot cheaper than branded bleaches and does exactly the same job of cleaning my toilets well. Why go and spend more when this does the job just as good?!

Summary: Cheap bleach
