Advantages: Does mask nasty niffs for a while and is economical
Disadvantages: The spray is quite wet and it drys my throat out awfully!
I tend to live in my bedroom. Living with the parents it's the only space that is my own and I love it, it's my little corner of the world! However no matter how clean I and my bedroom are from time to time it doesn't smell as fresh as it possibly could. Sure I open the windows and stuff but I am guilty of occasionally eating in my room whilst watching tv and I do smoke (even though it's out of the window) lol. So I resort to air fresheners to stay smelling sweet.
I usually buy decent one's. By that I mean the brands we've all heard of.... however of late I've been a bit skint so in general stuff I have been buying is economy and I'm working hard at cutting my cost of living down lol! I saw this the other day in my local Tesco store costing a mere 28p a can and put back the one I was going to buy for £2.50ish and felt rather pleased with myself with this little find!
The Packaging:
Long white cylinder aeresol can with a white matching plastic lid that fits over a white plastic push button sprayer. On the front in red and white writing I'm told it is Tesco value Air Freshener. On the back of the can other information given includes directions for use, safety and warnings being listed as well as general product information, a price promise given from Tesco (if your not happy with the product for any reason you can have your money back), I'm told the product isn't tested on animals, contact details for Tesco are given and the size of the product is stated (300ml). Cheap looking offering this is but it's informative enough and easy to use to be fair to it.
Using It:
Well according to directions for use I use it that way of course! Give the can a quick shake, hold it upright and spray it lightly into the room to be fragranced and I avoid spraying furniture and fabrics whilst I'm at it (as advised on the can). So it sprays out of the can with ease. It does spray out as a white mist you can see and it is fairly wet so don't spray to much of it! The smell of this is simply weird really and hard to describe. It has a slightly sweet smell and I guess of flowers but nothing I can pin point really. It's like industrial stuff they use in public loos and the such rather than any I've personally ever used in my home before. It isn't bad but you couldn't describe this as nice either!
However it does knock out bad odours. Ok probably not garlic or fish and them such smells but if you have a room that just needs a burst of freshness to make the room feel cleaner than this is suitable for that. I find this freshens up the room instantly by fragrancing as soon as I spray it and that smell lasts a good half an hour. It doesn't 'eat' odour' but it does a good job of masking it for a while at least.
However for me this is a no no and I had to throw mine out. The spray is really drying and it dried up my throat in a powdery way terribly. I did try it a few times and just sprayed the corner of my room gently but for some reason it made me ever so thirsty and croaky and took my breath away a little. I couldn't be doing with it at all sadly!
Verdict:
If it don't dry you up like it did me you could find a use for this in your life. It isn't the most wonderful of smelling sprays but does deal with light odours and certainly does freshen to an extent!
Only availble in Tesco stores.
Summary: Worth a go if your interested!
