Tesco Value All Purpose Cloths
Advantages: Large size, cheap, help keep my home clean & tidy.
Disadvantages: A little thin, not very absorbent.
=== The product ===
'J' cloths from the Tesco value range. Each cloth is 34 x 53cm in size.
=== The packaging ===
10 cloths are provided in each packet. The packaging is very basic it is just a clear cellophane wrapping style bag. I usually just tear this open with my hand to remove a cloth and then leave the rest of the cloths partly protected in my cleaning box in the wrapper.
=== Where can I buy these and for how much? ===
These can be purchased in Tesco stores for just 36p per 10 pack. When I sign in to my Tesco.co.uk account online these are not available for delivery, no idea why as I picked a packet up in my local store just about two weeks ago.
=== Overall opinion ===
These wipes come provided in very basic packaging, it's nothing special but it does the job well and keeps the cloths protected from the elements on the trudge home from the supermarket. The cloths are easy to find on the supermarket shelves in it's basic wrapping.
Each cloth is a very decent size. When removed from the packet they are folded down in to one quarter of the original size. The folds are deep set meaning you can either keep them folded or just bunch them up and use them flat and singly. I tend to use my cloths folded over so I know what side I have used and then I can keep re-folding and changing sides to ensure I get the most coverage out of the cloth.
The cloths aren't very thick, they let the light through them where they are thin. They are blue & white so you can always find it if you put it down somewhere. Because they are so thin they tend to go stiff quite fast once they have been used but they can always be refreshed with a quick rinse under the tap. They are mainly ideal for wiping surfaces rather than heavy duty cleaning and I normally end up using these for wiping my bathroom over or cleaning my kitchen sides and sink.
As there are 10 cloths in each pack I don't mind discarding it after I have used it for a day and this helps me to know that my home is clean and hygienic. The main use for these, for me, is my wiping my bathroom and because of the large size I am able to wipe my whole bathroom suite over and then I can use another side to scrub the top and back of the toilet before rinsing the cloth and using it to clean the toilet before throwing it away.
Overall I would say that these cloths are quite good. When used as a single cloth rather than folded over they can be a little thin. They aren't very absorbent but I mainly want them for wiping away cleaning fluid and taking the dust and dirt with it. I am pleased with the results that I get from using these wipes and I will happily carry on buying them! When they are this cheap I don't mind going through one a few times a week to ensure my home is clean and hygienic.
Summary: A reasonably priced 'J' cloth from the Tesco value range.
