Advantages: Cheap and easy to use
Disadvantages: None
If you haven't guessed by my reviews I am somewhat obsessed with cleaning. I happen to have two very tidy and neat parents so it was bound to rub off onto me (as well as my two sisters!). Therefore, I have an abundance of cleaning products, clothes and all other items associated with the cleaning tasks. One item I use on a daily basis are cleaning cloths and I find that despite there being a wide range of varying cloths available the one cloth I buy all the time are generally the cheapest.
Although I have various cleaning cloths for certain tasks the one type of cloth I use regularly are all purpose cloths and the ones I normally buy are Tesco All Purpose Cloths (10 Pack) which cost £1.65 per pack making them out to be about 16.5p per cloth so ideal for every day use as once you have finished using it you can just throw it away without feeling too bad about it as cleaning cloths are not always the cheapest considering what they are.
Tesco All Purpose Cloths like I said come in a pack of 10 and are wrapped in thin transparent packaging so you can easily see what the cloths look like. On the front the label is pretty simple as it just says the product name with a few images of bubbles. The colour design is blue to match the cloths. Because these are so basic there are no instructions on the back simply the barcode and the contact information for Tesco.
The cloths themselves are white with blue stripes and look exactly the same as other brands which have general all purpose cloths or jay cloths as I know they are called. They are just a bit smaller than a piece of A3 paper when unfolded so quite a decent size considering their price. They are quite thin and although made of a white fabric type material they are slightly transparent as it looks like the fabric has been tightly woven together, almost as if the fabric type material used has been mashed together. But despite their thinness they are incredibly soft and flexible.
I use the all purpose clothes for a variety of household chores and even for cleaning my horse's leather bridles and saddles. They absorb water easily and because they are quite thin they wring out well too so you can have them as wet or as damp as you require them to be should you need to use them wet. I find that when wet they are incredibly soft and ideal for wiping down surfaces and they don't leave any water marks behind. Because they are soft and fold easily when damp I find them ideal cloths to help clean my bridles as the leather work is quite fine.
When the cloths are dry I find them perfect for cleaning windows, mirrors or any shiny surface as they don't leave bits of fluff around like dusters and they don't leave streaks or marks instead they manage to give a clean, shiny surface. Despite their size they do fold up easily when dry and even though you are using them with a liquid cleaner they don't get too wet and they dry out really quickly should you want to reuse them.
I really have no complaints about the Tesco All Purpose Cloths and for less than 17p per cloth I think they are incredibly good value and considering their cheap price they do actually last for quite some time. For me, these are a bargain buy and they are a regular in my shopping trolley. Definitely a recommendation from me and can easily award them 5 stars.
