“ Brand: Tesco / Type: Liquid Laundry Detergent / Category: Laundry „
I have been buying this biological liquid for at least a month or so and I bought it because my vet told me to use a liquid biological cleaner or a powdered one, even if a cheaper brand he said it would work in my home to clean where my eldest cat is doing her toileting as she has dementia and she just stands where she is sometimes and does her business and he told me she would probably not go into that area all the time to do it again as biological powders and liquids makes a cat go to a different area. I bought this one for only 96p for a litre bottle, the bottle is a thick white plastic and it has a holding handle at the side of the bottle, it is a different design to the one shown above and it has a screw off lid, the inside is a thick concentrated liquid and it has a really nice fragrance to it for the low price and it smells nice and fresh too. It is designed to have 28 wash loads per bottle, and although I do not know if this amount is correct as I have not used it for just washing laundry, but I have washed with this a few times in my machine and it does a good job of cleaning fabrics and the smell of my clothes when taken out of the machine are quite a refreshing smell, used along with a fabric conditioner I think it is a good laundry liquid. The lid has a measuring line so you can fill it to the amount you may need for your fabrics and if some are heavily soiled more would be needed and I have washed my cats bedding with this and it has cleaned it just as good as other detergents I use. This can be used in a dispenser draw in a washing machine or a ball type dispenser that I use sometimes with liquid detergents as I find it easier at times just to place into the ball and place in the machine and this liquid is a very good quality and it is concentrated and so little is needed and I have found it quite thick and I have used it for hand washing too and the items I have washed have been nice and clean. I think Tesco have manufactured this one very well for the price and the amount of perfume added to make it smell nice is good too and the texture of the liquid is nice and soft to the touch and it pours nicely from the bottle and I just love the handle at the side as it is easier to pour where needed. I recommend this for anyone to try, especially if on a budget as myself at the moment with all the vet bills I have to pay and I will buy it again as I am delighted with the results it has for my cat health problems and the clothes I have washed too and it is an amazing liquid for the price. I give it 5 stars. Thank you for reading my review.
If looking for this product in Tesco, don't look for something like the product photo - the packaging has changed. Currently it comes in a white plastic bottle, narrowing towards the top, screw on lid and handle to the side. On the front is a small 'tesco value' logo and a picture of some shirts in a basket and the name 'Biological Concentrated Laundry Liquid' printed across it. I haven't had to buy anything aside from fabric conditioner, for my washing for quite some time as my nan accidentally bought a couple of boxes of tablets that she didn't like and so gave them to me. However by the time last months shop came around I was close to running out and wanted to find something nice and cheap to do the job. Walking down the laudry aisle I noticed that all the tesco value items were out of stock with the exception of a single bottle of this product so I quickly put it in my trolley. You use the screw cap to measure out the amount needed for a wash and simply deposit it into your washing machine as normal. Personally I always use one cup per wash on a 40 degree cycle and it always seems to clean well (although I never have heavily soiled items so I can't say how good it would be with them). The liquid itself has a greenish tinge to it and the bottle states no specific intended scent although to me it smells very soapy and slightly floral - not an unpleasant smell by any means but nothing special. After washing it leaves your clothes smelling fresh. On the front of the bottle it claims that you get 28 washes out of a 1 litre bottle - I haven't done a tally but for a conservative user such as myself I would say this is quite a conservative estimate, however for users with more soiled items the number of useage would obviously go down. Price wise this comes in at just £1.69 (as of June 2010) and can be found here on the tesco website: http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=259600734 Personally I think this is excellent value for money when you consider the price of similar sized branded products. Overall I'm very happy with this laundry liquid and certainly recommend it - it does the job and I see no reason to pay more for another product when this one is perfectly adequate.
When it comes to washing it's something I really do enjoy doing. So much so though that I keep running out of washing products much to my mates disgust! I am currently staying with my mate and I have made myself in charge of all things laundry and the washer machine always seems to be on! For this reason and the amount it all works out to cost when I saw this product priced at 79p a bottle in Tesco on a recent shopping trip I felt that it really had to be worth a go. After all if it was rubbish we just wouldn't buy it again! The Packaging: White 1 litre bottle with an integrated handle for ease of use situated to one side of it and it has a screw on/off cap/lid to the top of it. On the front of the bottle I'm told that it is Tesco 'Value' Biological Laundry Liquid 'Cleans and freshens your wash' and that it contains enough liquid for 8 washes and there is a photograph of some washing on there to. On the back of the bottle other information includes directions for use and the composition of the liquid is listed, warnings and the size is stated (as I've listed already) and contact details for Tesco are given. Cheap looking packaging this is but like I always say as long as the packaging is informative enough who cares...it's the product that always counts! Using It: The lid/cap to the top of it acts as the measurer or you can use a ball type dispenser that you may already have if you prefer of course. The cap gives 35ml of product. I find that two capfuls (70ml) is fine for our light soiled items though you may want to vary the amount of liquid you use depending on soiling and the type of water area you live in (advice is given about this of course on the bottle!). The liquid itself is a runny light turquoise liquid that smells lightly floral and perfectly pleasant and both me and mate really like the smell of this. It's easy to measure out and add the the dispenser drawer in the machine and then of course you select the cycle you would like. On very lightly soiled items I find that a 40C wash is perfectly fine and on slightly more grubby washing I turn the heat up to 60C. I have used 180ml of product on very dirty stuff on 60C as well! We love this liquid and used on lightly soiled, everyday sort of washing this is brilliant and so very economical! I get about 8 washes from this bottle which is exceptional value in my opinion. It leaves washing clean, fresh and removes light stains. It doesn't leave any residue in fibres and leaves washing clean! I do use a fabric softener as well to add some extra softness to stuff and give it all an extra fragrance boost though you can detect the smell of this occasionally in your washing too. All round this is truly a really excellent product as long as you select the right amount of product to use per wash and the right cycle! I shall buy this time and time again in the future as not only is it great in a washer machine but also when I was on holiday and on a campsite with no running hot water I still managed to get my clothes clean and fresh....so top marks from me for this! Try it! Only available in Tesco stores.
