Advantages: Works pretty well, very cheap

Disadvantages: Not the best product on the market

I found I was getting a lot of greasy marks on my kitchen tiles from cooking and a friend recommended to me that the best way to get rid of such stains was to use a cream cleaner on a scouring pad. I'm not one for spending a fortune on cleaning products, but at the same time I do obviously want the products I buy to be effective and efficient. When scouring the shelves in Tescos I noticed they do a cream cleaner in the Value range so thought i'd give it a try.

~The Product~
Tesco Value Cream Cleaner is a white cream-like product which is very versatile and can be used on pretty much any surface as a cleaner. In my opinion for tougher stains such as grease, its best used as a scourer. You simply shake the bottle before use, open the lid and tip straight on to your scourer or directly on to the surface itself (I have found it works best when tipped straight onto your scourer). You then clean the product or surface required and wipe off any remaining residue with a cloth. One warning would be when using this product is to make sure you do wipe the cleaned surface thoroughly as otherwise it does leave a dry white powder-like substance on the surface which you don't see until the cleaner has dried, meaning you have to wipe over it again to rid the surface of the powder.

~Price/Packaging~
A 500ml bottle of this cleaner will set you back a mere 30p which I think is fantastic value. It is recognisable on the shelves as a white plastic bottle with white flip-top lid. The bottle bears the very simple Tesco Value logo and states a bit about the product but thats about it. The bottle certainly doesn't jump out at you and is not very appealing to the eye at all - but then I don't particularly want to pay extra money for good packaging anyway. I'm more interested in the product itself than the packaging.

~Results~
I was quite surprised by this product. Ok, it wasn't amazing but with a bit of elbow grease it did get rid of the stains intended. I believe there are better products out there that will rid you of the stains with a lot less effort than this cleaner does but it did leave my surfaces and tiles looking clean and shiny and I would use this product again as for 30p I do think this is good value for money.

The only mistake I made with this cleaner is on the first time I used it I didn't shake the bottle. This proved a problem as you end up with a very runny colourless substance rather than a white cream product. The cream itself is not overly thick but not too runny either when shaken.

A good product from Tescos. Not great but for the price you are paying, you really can't complain.

Summary: Not great, not bad
