I am not brand loyal and tend to buy whichever dishwasher tablets are on offer. I am, however guilty of buying branded dishwasher tablets as opposed to the stores own label as I have always assumed branded was best! Just proves that those clever adverts have sucked me in! However a few days ago I noticed my local Tesco had several cleaning products heavily reduced, including Tesco own everyday value dishwasher tablets, reduced to just 83p for a box of 30 tablets. These usually retail for twice that (still a bargain!) At that price I decided to buy a few boxes to try.

Tesco value products have recently had a re-brand they are now called *everyday value* and in place of that awful blue and white packaging is something a bit more pleasing. In the case of the dishwasher tablets the cardboard box now pictures various utensils in blue. The cardboard box is easy to open by tearing away the sealing strip. Inside each tablet is individually wrapped in cellophane .The tablet is white and smaller than other brands I have used. Unlike the 3 in 1 finish tabs I had been using, these require you to add rinse aid and salt. I sometimes place half a lemon inside my dishwasher as this not only produces a lovely shine but leaves my dishwasher smelling good too!

I really wasn't expecting great results from these tablets, so was very pleasantly surprised at just how well they work! I have used them on a high setting for dirty saucepans and they removed all traces of burn on food and grease. They are also very effective on lower, energy saving settings. I can honestly say that I think these produce better results that finish and they are equally as good as fairy. I decided to compare the active ingredients of these value tablets compared with finish and guess what- they are almost identical!

I have no idea why Tesco are selling these tablets off so cheaply. However I can highly recommend them; especially for the price I paid!
