A pack of Tesco Value Kitchen Cloths costs 75p for a pack of five cloths - which equates to a very cheap 15p each! I do sometimes wonder how they can make a profit on selling products so cheaply.....but I guess Tesco have proved that they know what they're doing! Anyway, 75p for a pack of dishcloths that is likely to last you a couple of months is really very very great value and like so many of Tescos products, I really think they are very very worth buying.

When you first buy the disclothes they come in a plastic wrapper and so you can be assured they have been protected during storage. However, I always give any material product a quick machine wash for the first time, especially when this product is cheap because very often I can smell cigarette smoke on it - perhaps from the factory it was made. However, when I opened this wrapper, the cloths smelt clean and there was no detectable aroma. I know that sounds like a small thing, but I hate it when something smells even before you've used it!

The cloths, as I would have expected are very basic and made of cotton. They do not feel luxurious but I don't feel that dishcloths need to feel luxurious. Infact the cloth feels a little rough, but this helps to get some purchase on grime when I'm washing the dishes and so the roughness is actually an advantage. The cloth is absorbent and mop you grease and general grime very well. The cloths are a good size for washing dishes or wiping surfaces over, being practically square and measuring 25cm x 25cm - or there abouts.

I have washed these cloths in the washing maching a few times - but after a few washes they do start to fall apart. On average, if I'm using this to wash the dishes, I would say that the cloth lasts for about 3 weeks before it needs throwing away......but 3 weeks for 15p is really very good. Overall, i recommend this product and think it's one of the many bargains that Tesco has on offer.
