Tesco Value Kitchen Cloths
Advantages: Cheap, cleans well
Disadvantages: Not as thick as ones I've used before
Dish cloths are an essential in my kitchen. I only buy cheap dish cloths because I tend to throw them away after a few washes anyway so I have never bothered spending a lot on them, plus dish cloths are an item idiot think you need to spend a lot on them. I know a lot of people who use dish cloths for not only cleaning dishes but also cleaning down surfaces and so on. This is something I couldn't personally do, I am sometimes a bit over board with having such a phobia of germs, so I tend to have a cleaning cloth for surfaces and a cloth for dishes so not dirt is transferred onto plates and so on.
The cloths are only 70p for 5 dish cloths! So making them around 14p each which is incredibly cheap in the grand scheme of things. I do think it isn't essential to spend anymore than this though on a cloth as it is just a cloth at the end of the day!
I do use a sponge also when washing up, although these are great at washing up it's sometimes easier to use. Sponge when removing hard food off baking trays and so on.
The cloths are white, something I do prefer because then I can put them in bleach over night and also I can throw them into the washing machine with my tea towels when I do my daily tea towel wash, which is very common in my household! The washing machine definitely gets it use!
Some people use the cloths for strictly cleaning. I previously purchased them just for cleaning too and I found them to be more useful than normal cleaning cloths because they are much thicker. So they hold water better which is good when cleaning the floor when you need the cloth to retain water more.
The cloths are fairly thick to say they are tesco value. They aren't the thickest cloths I have used but they definitely fit somewhere in the middle between thin and thick. This also applies in size, not the biggest but it the smallest either, there's definitely a theme running here!
Overall, these kitchen dish cloths are an essential in my home, they are great for washing up and could be potentially used as a cleaning cloth instead. I would give the cloths 4/5 strictly on the basis that although they're great and a reasonable price, I have like I said before used thicker and bigger cloths which do come in handy when cleaning bigger times.
