Advantages: A few uses around the house
Disadvantages: Too thin, break easily
Seems like everybody on here is writing a review about these bags at the moment so I thought I'd add my two pence worth. I am of pretty much the same opinion as everyone else, that these refuse sacks are refusing to be good bags and are basically rubbish, rubbish bags but they do have their uses and for the price can you really complain?
These are part of the Tesco value range so you get what you pay for but what exactly do you get? Well you now get a roll of 40 bags for 97 pence so this works out to 2p a bag, for that price I can afford to throw them away half full. and have a few of them tear now and again.
I don't use these as my regular bin bags in my kitchen swing bin, theres no way they would be good enough as they are just not strong enough and would rip as soon as I tried to get the full bag out. No, for my kitchen bin I use tough, heavy duty bin bags with strong pull ties that just about hold everything in until I can put it into the big wheelie bin outside.
The bags are black and made of a very thin plastic so if you do overfill them or attempt, in my opinion to fill them anything more than about a third full they will just rip and tear and fall apart. They are attached to each other on the roll with a perforated edge so you just rip one bag from the others when you want to use one but you do need to be careful as they don't rip very well and then ruin the next one on the roll.
These bags do have their uses in my home though. We bought a roll as a bit of a mistake i guess thinking they would work as our kitchen bin bags and then pretty much straight away we realised they wouldn't so we have had the same roll under our kitchen sink for ages though. What I do use them for though are those little clean up jobs around the house where you need to use something to bag the rubbish but don't want to use the big bin or cant use the big bin. For example I empty out my Dyson vacuum in here and these bags are big enough and the opening at the top is wide enough to put all the dust etc in and then transport it out to the wheelie bin without making a mess. Or, I use them to quickly put the recycling in from all over the house and then I can take it out to the recycling wheelie bin in one go.
So in conclusion yes they are rubbish rubbish bags but they do have their uses.
