Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Rip so easily, no handles
I have always bought these Tesco everyday value refuge sacks, or bin bags as we usually call them. I don't see the point in buying expensive ones, after all they just go in the bin afterwards! They can be a bit more fiddly to use but that is worth the money you save. These bin bags come on a roll, for usually around 95p-98p. I remember these used to be 70p they have definitely gone up in price, but definitely not in quality!
These are not the best quality bin bangs you can buy, but if your on a budget, they do the job as long as your careful with them. They are very, very thin! They are black, like most bin bags, and all connected to each other on the roll, and you just rip one off when you want one. I have never had a problem until recently with ripping these bin bags off. They used to come off no problem, but the last few packs I have bought I have noticed if you rip too quickly or not perfectly along the dotted line, they can rip and you end up with a hole in the bag which is then useless! As long as your careful with the delicate line that separates these bags, there's no problem with them.
I empty my kitchen bin every day, so it never gets overfull. However if I forget and people push the rubbish down, the bag does quite often rip when your pulling it out of the bin to empty it. They are so thin, they are not strong enough to hold so much rubbish. You cant over fill this bags due to there being no handles either. When pulling the bag out of the bin there is nothing to hold on to, you have to just use the top of the bag, and then make a knot with it to close it together.
The size of these bin bags are perfect for my 50 litre Brabantia bin. Apart from the thinness of these bags, and the fact they rip easily when being ripped apart from one another, I don't have a problem with these bin bags, they do the job they are suppose to and I will continue to buy these for as long as I need to!
Summary: I will continue to buy them, for the price they are worth it
