Tesco Value Sponge Pan Cleaners

There are things I can understand people arguing that you should pay more for due to quality. However, with pan cleaners I really struggle. These aren't things I expect to last a long time. In fact, I'll go further and say that they aren't things I WANT to last a long time. I'm pretty sure that they fill up with mank and bacteria after a certain amount of use, no matter how well you rince them, and I rather like being able to chuck them away when needed and grab another from under the sink without worrying about expense. I have been using these little blighters for years now. I started getting them as a student being impoverished but still (surprising as it will be to some!) wanting to keep things clean. They are about 15p for 5 in a pack. Packaged in a plastic wrapper and so cheap they are very disposable they aren't very environmentally friendly but then who has time to be green 100% of the time! The sponge is about 2cm thick and the scourer is green and perfectly designed to do its job. The sponge is about 8cm by about 6cm revctangle and is big enough to get hold of properly. Along with many people at the moment, I am on a serious budget so I have been cutting back on certain items when shopping. I needed some scouring pads for washing up with so thought I would give these a try as they are only 14p for a pack of 5. You can't get much cheaper than that. I usually use the tesco own brand scourers and cleaning cloths, but have never tried these budget ones as I thought they would probably fall to bits after one bowl of washing up.
