Tesco Value Sponge Pan Cleaners

Description: Household Products. Cleaning sponges.

Newest Review: ... about 60p per pack. Lets be honest, how much difference will there be between Tesco's own brand sponge & someone more ... more

... famous & well known? These sponges are just as good as any others that I have ever used & offer a really great saving too. Even though they are cheap, they still last a reasonable amount of time. You can easily get 20-40 washes depending on how dirty your pots are out of one sponge. A pack seems to last for a really long time. I have to recommend this product. If this is what you use to wash your dishes, then start saving your self some money & buying these next time you're in the shops....more

Premium Review Tesco Value Sponge Pan Cleaners: A Great Cleaning Device For Under 20p! (322 words)

Tesco has a value range which sometimes throws up good things and sometimes throws up complete tripe. Most of the time, the value products are pretty good and here is one of the best buys you get get from their value range. The humble sponge pan cleaner. I know it is difficult to muster any enthusiasm for a piece of sponge with a rough surface on it, but believe me, these things are so useful. I would go so far as to say, I cannot survive in a kitchen without one. Gone are the days where just a jay cloth will do, I need a cleaning implement that delivers more than just a wipe. It has to be able to tackle stubborn stains and provide brute force where brute force is ...  Read the complete review

My other half.... the dishwashing machine! OK so when we moved over a year ago our new kitchen didn't have room for a dishwasher, so we have (reluctantly till we can afford one on castors) been doing the washing up by hand. Now we are for ever buying up washing up 'equipment' as they disappear. I say disappear, the kids use them.... Now for 17p for 5 I did expect these to probably have the lifetime of the average fruit fly, but I was so very wrong. We have had one being used solidly to wash up for about a month now and still going strong. Of course it had no choice, as its brothers and sisters from the pack had disappeared to other parts ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Value Sponge Pan Cleaners: Quite a lot cheaper than chips (441 words)

They are not particularly spongy, Tesco Value Sponge Pan Cleaners, and the plastic abrasive 'pan cleaning' side isn't, in all honesty, up to all that much. Neither of these features really counts as Tesco Value Sponge Pan Cleaner's unique selling point however. Can there be anyone who buys these for any reason other than they only cost 17p (seventeen PENCE!) for a packet of five? What can you get for 17 pence theses days? Not even a small selection of loose penny-sweeties from the newsagents', recent experience would suggest. No, Tesco Value Sponge Cleaners are so cheap as to be effectively disposable. I use mine mainly in the ...  Read the complete review

Anybody who is a regular reader of my reviews will know that lately I have reviewed a lot of products from the Tesco Value range as with the credit crunch in full throttle I have been tightening my belt along with everybody else. It's not necessarily that the products are great but as long as they do the job and save me a few pennies at the same time that's all that matters to me, and that is the case with Tesco Value Sponge Pan Cleaners. ~The Product~ Tesco Value Sponge Pan Cleaners are rectangular cleaning pads with a white sponge bottom and a green scouring layer on the top. Each pad measures around 4" x 2.5" and is just under an inch thick. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Value Sponge Pan Cleaners: Cleaning The Kitchen After My Mess (347 words)

I made a right mess of the grill pan yesterday when I put some bacon on too high and it dripped and burnt all over the pan and it didn't help that I'd sprinkled it with mixed herbs as well so they all got burnt as well and the bottom of the pan was a black tarry mess. I went across the road to Tesco but when I got there I only had £1.00 on me so had to buy some kitchen cleaner and scouring pads out of that so when I saw these sponge pan cleaners for 15p I thought I'd give them a try because then I still had a few pence to get something to help clean the grill pan. These are quite good even though they are so cheap but the problem is that they are ...  Read the complete review
