150 words about some bits of sponge? Will try!

There isn't really a brand named version of Pan cleaners, well not that I've noticed anyway. It seems to be either Value ones, or shop brand ones, and I always buy the Value ones. There are just as good as the other ones out there, and a good bit cheaper as well.

These ones are from Tesco's Value range. I bought a pack last week and they cost me 22p for 5 of them.

The packaging is alright. it is just a clear white wrapper. It is easy to open these, as you just pull the wrapper apart. Once this wrapper is open then 3 of the sponges seem the stay in the sealed part of the packaging but the other 2 fall out. Not to bother me, as I keep my sponges in a large tupperware tub anyway. The wrapper is very plain and only has the Tesco Value branding on the front of the pack, and The Sponge Pan Cleaners in white writing against a red stripe on the front.

So What are these? They are rectangular sponges which have a wiry bit on the top. The sponges are all white - normally in the shop label ones you get a few nice pastel colours such as blues and pinks, not so much in the Value Ones. Perhaps the dye costs lots of money!!! The top wry bit is all green.

So why the 2 parts? Well it is the spnge part that I use the most, as most of the Pans I have don't want you to use abrasive cleaning tools on them, and although the green part is quite tough, it isn't going to strip paint or anything. I soak my dishes and clean the inside with one of these Sponges in hot soapy water and they clean them up nice.

So they do what they are meant to do and are at a good price. Why pay more for something different? They all do the same job!

I use theese sponges, but not for cleaning pans, i think they are perfect to clean alloy wheels with some hot soapy water, the rough side gets the build up of break dust and grime, and the sponge side will just get the finer bits of dirt off

That's cheap! I buy these but for non-stick pans as I can then use them to scrub down the work surfaces in my kitchen with no fear of scratches :-)
