Ooooooo they are cheap! (Tesco Value Sponge Pan Cleaners)

Advantages: Really cheap scourers, great for big jobs, like decorating or deep clean

Disadvantages: Green stuff can come out, sponge not massivly absorbant

Oh Goodness gracious me....these bad boys are soooooo cheap. If you have read any of my reviews, I have a big lovin' for all things cleaning. So, I had spilled a load of bleach based cleaner on my cheapo lino kitchen floor (quick fix till we do our kitchen up) and found that it totally changed colour. Sooooo I needed to clean every inch of it by hand. I have a selection of divices for cleaning, sponge this, scrubber that.....as a like for like product I tend to go for Sponge scourers with the groove cut into the side so your fingers are a teenee weenee bit protected. Alas, on my mission to clean my manky lino, I was going through one of these scourers every 2 metres. So off I popped to Tesco's, and was faced with a massive selection of similar things. Oh behold the blue and white stipped mecca that is the Value range!!! 5 white sponges, with a thickish green mega scouring pad on the top for 0.14p!!!!! Yippee. How can I fail.

So back to the manky floor I went with my 3 packs. There really was no notable difference, other than the green came off more, it wiped away easily and didn't stain in any way......but I was using it on a floor and not among the dishes. I think that would really put me off.

I did use then to clean surfaces etc til they ran out and were ok. The absorbancy was not great at all, ended up finishing off with kitchen roll to get the worktops or kitchen table dry. They are a much harder sponge. The scourer is very aggressive and really gets the job done on pots and pans....so for 14p (this has varied a little I have noticed, but its what I paid) You really should have a few packs knocking aroung in case you find a manky bit that needs a good cheap scrubber to go at it.

Summary: Great cheap sponge scourers...how can you go wrong??
