Advantages: cheap and efficient

Disadvantages: for 14p i'd have to be in a harsh mood to find one

14p for five. Amazing value. Five washing up sponges which are nicely in keeping with the white theme of the Tesco value range (good for the design conscious kitchens without breaking the budget?). Every little helps and all that.

Seeing as no matter how much I have spent on these in the past to do the washing up with, they all fall apart within a week/ start to get a little saggy and split if you happen to clean a sharp knife with one blade side towards the sponge. Of course all of this is normally user error and not the fault of the sponge.

Tesco value sponges- although the pack states "pan cleaners" they are essentially washing up sponges. One will last around a week, maybe longer if you remove it from the washing up bowl between bouts of washing up and keep them away from sharp knives.

They do the job. These are amazing value and are now a staple addition on my monthly shopping list. For 14p you just can't go wrong.
