I do clean on a regular basis and to have everything in order and for everything to be clean. I came across the Tesco Value Sponge Pan Cleaners whilst doing my weekly shopping. At first I felt really sceptical about the product, and assume that it would dissolve the second it came into contact with water or dirt.

I then took a chance and purchased the five sponges in a clear see through wrapper that had the Tesco colours of red and blue on the label, along with the value label which is the first thing that you notice once you pick it up.

I first tried the sponges on a Tefal non-stick pan which did not turn out well. I then used them on regular pots and pans and found them more useful, especially when you get dried oil and some other dirt that can be hard to clean with the normal side.

I also used one of them for cleaning the kitchen sink which was quite good, it was firm enough when wet to be able to remove dirt without you having to apply too much force onto it.

The only with this product is the colour of it which is white, while this is fine when it is new. After using it for less than a week, dirt and stains will start to show and get gradually worst. Personally, I found it hard to use them because it did not look clean. Therefore some people might be worried because the stains do show quite well.

However, for the price of less than 20p for a packet of them that contains 5 sponges, it is definitely a good bargain. This would also mean that you are able to change them more often to be more hygienic and also not get really bad stains from using them for too long.

Summary: A good alternative that allows you to chnage them more often at a cheaper cost
