The Tesco value sponges are only available at Tesco and cost 15 for a packet of 5. The cheapest alternative to them are sponges in packets of 10 from the 1pound shops, which normally cost anything between 60 p and 1 Pound.

I do not always find these at Tesco, but when I do, I normally buy them. They do not seem to store too many, at least at my local Tesco and some time I forget to check.

These sponges are relatively flexible and hold well the washing up liquid or any liquid you may use to clean surfaces. I use them both for washing up, for cleaning pans and pots and also to clean the sink, bathtub and toilet (clearly not the same sponge!)

They last pretty much like any other sponge I bought, and are easy to use.

Apart from the fact that at least in my experience they do not seem to be always in stock, I do not find any inconvenience and although the saving in absolute terms with other sponges may not be massive, in percentage terms it is and as they say, every penny helps and I therefore suggest you try them if you shop at Tesco.
