Advantages: very cheap, quite thick & smells good

Disadvantages: none

As you'll know if you've been kind enough to read any of my reviews, I'm on a mission to cut my blooming shopping bills by trying out a few of the Tesco Value range products.

The latest on I've popped into my shopping basket at Tesco.com is the Tesco Value Toilet Cleaner Pine bottle.
At only 25p for 750ml it seemed like a good saving as the ones I normally buy are more than twice this price.

The bottle is heavy plastic & has the usual Value logo etc as shown in the photo.

To be honest I'm not too bothered what goes down our loos (as far as cleaning liquids are concerned!) as long as they look clean & smell nice I'm a happy bunny.

The bottle gives clear directions on how to use the product which is strictly for the toilet bowl only.
They advise directing around the bowl & under the brim, leave for 2 hours or overnight & then flush before using.

I did as I was told (always do what I'm told?!) & was very pleased with the results - the looos smelled fresh & looked clean to the eye - obviously I didn't get a magnifying glass to test - but looked OK to me.

The liquid itself has a nice pine smell which isn't too strong or overpowering & is easy to use as it's quite thick ( but maybe not as thick as some of the more expensive toilet cleaners around).

The ingredients are listed clearly on the bottle - loads of long words which mean nothing to me, but it also contains disinfectant & perfume.

There are clear warnings provided about storage & spillage & not to mix with other detergents or cleaning products.

A website address is provided - www.detergentinfo.com for those who want to know what's going down their loo.

It's no-abrasive & didn't leave any residue & the faint pine smell lasted longer than I would have thought.

summary
~
- very good value.
- easy to use.
- nice smell.
- loos look clean.
- a good product from the Tesco Value range.

Summary: a weel-priced & effective toilet cleaner

Thanks for that. I was looking at this in Tescos yesterday but thought as it was SO cheap it might be rubbish. I will get some next time I go toTescos.
