Tesco value toilet cleaner

I often buy the Tesco value products because I find they usually (but not always) represent good value for money without a real compromise on quality although the packaging is very basic!

Product and Packaging...

Being one of the value products, the packaging is, as I expected, very basic. It comes in a white plastic 750ml bottle with the name of the product, instructions, warnings and information on the front and that's about it. No fancy pictures or unnecessary information.

The screw off top has a child safety cap which means that it's almost impossible for children to open unless they have worked this out for themselves. The top screws back on quite easily and the child proof lock is instantly applied. There is a thin funnel type spout for easy pouring into the toilet bown and so that it can be directed under the rim of the toilet- no good if it just goes into the bowl.

The toilet cleaner itself is, as I expect, it being a pine toilet cleaner, green, and it does have a pleasant pine smell, if you like the smell of pine. I do because it smells fresh and suggests to me that something has been cleaned. The toilet cleaner is quite thick and does require a bit of a squeeze to get the product out of the bottle which again is a good thing because otherwise too much of the product would be used. However, it's not so thick that it doesn't wash away and leave a nasty green residue; when it's time to rinse the product away it rinses away easily leaving a clean fresh smelling toilet bowl.

The Promises...

It promises to Clean, freshen and attack odours and provide lasting freshness.
How to use it...
Direct around the bowl and under the rim. Leave for a couple of hours or overnight, then flush before using the toilet.
Keeping safe!...
* Store upright in a cool place.
* Do not expose to extremes of temperatures.
* Do not mix with other cleaning products or bleaches.
* Use only in the toilet bowl.
* Keep out of the reach of children.
* In case of contact with eyes, or skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water
* Wash hands after use.
* If swallowed seek medical advice
I guess this advice and the warnings are a lot to do with common sense, because at the end of the day it's a cleaning product.

Price and availability...
This represents great value at 25p for 750ml of the stuff! It is available instore or online at www.tesco.com

Verdict...

Good stuff. The toilet cleaner is nice and thick and leaves a really fresh smell in the bathroom. It is easy to direct under the rim and fortunately when the toilet is flushed, it doesn't leave any residue just a nice clean toilet bowl. The top is child proof which is a bonus but as with any cleaning products, it's best to be safe not sorry.

For anyone who likes a toilet cleaner and in particular one with a pine smell, I would recommend this one. It's a big enough bottle and even with my heavy handed usage, lasts for ages.

Thanks for reading.
