Let's face it....when it comes to money down the drain...toilet cleaner is perhaps one of the most literal examples of this!

I discovered Tesco value toilet cleaner about six months ago and yes, it is sfae and fair that this is not the most exciting thing in the world to talk about, but it is an absolute bargain!

Prices range from 25p to 35p for a bottle of this cleaner and it comes in the distinctive 'value' style (which is minimal advertising and only essential information as required by law).

The cleaner is green in colour and very thick. Which is good as it coats the inside of teh toilet nicely. Initially, the scent of the pine is strong, but as you use it more and more, it does lose its smell. But it does make me feel that my toilet is clean and fresh which is a good thing!

The bottle is well designed surprisingly and it has a safety lid too. if I was ever embarrassed that I used Value products, the label could easily be removed as the moulded plastic bottle does not look cheap at all.

There are two adults in our house and we find that a bottle lasts us a week. We have a good air freshener in the bathroom too so that compensates for the cheaper toilet liquid.

Once a week I also, fill the cistern with this liquid and let it flush through...this is a cheap and effective way of keeping all of the ater and cistern clean.

I recommend this to anyone, particularly at present when we are all saving money. This is by far an out and out success for the price.

Summary: Well worth a go!
