2 ply or not to buy? (Tesco Value Toilet Tissue)

I've read quite a few mixed reviews on tesco value toilet tissue so decided to add them to my shopping basket from tesco.com as not all the comments were bad.

They cost £1.11 (at 15 october) for 12 rolls which is very cheap - usually I pay over £4 for the better quality loo rolls.

Oh dear! - my delivery came this morning & I see why now they are priced as they are.

There are 2400 sheets (apparently) but each sheet is so thin I think our family will be using more than twice the amount.

You can tell how thin they are by the weight of the pack & they lack the 'bounce' you get with the more expensive toilet tissue.

The sheets are only 2ply & for those who are interested there are an average of 200 sheets per roll & the minimum roll length is 22.8m.

I'm not sure why Tesco give us this information but it may be useful if you are dressing up as a mummy this halloween (hope it doesn't rain though!).

The pack is easy to open & looks exactly as it does in the photo.

There is additional information provided though re FSC~
' FSC (forest stewardship council) guarantee that the wood used to make this product comes from forests which are well managed according to strict environmental, socail & economic standards' - website www.fsc.org.

So - at least our family will be helping to protect the world's rainforests for a few days - I don't think 12 rolls will last us very long.

- you get what you pay for.
- I think many of the Tesco value products are good for the price, but not this loo roll.
