The Tesco Value range, really does shine in some areas, and I am most definitely a big advocate of saving Money.

However, an quite sadly for anyone unfortunate to have brought these like I did. You will discover on your very first visit to the bathroom, that Toilet Tissue is absolutely not one of them.

Firstly, unless im mistaken, (and work with me here as I don't avidly go around measuring the widths of different Toilet Paper), but these rolls appear alot narrower. OK., I will stick my neck out and say they ARE narrower, which makes the actual use of them rather tricky and uncomfortable (now that's an understatement).

Quite generously for the price they are "manufactured" as a double ply. However on the roll I tested, the double ply seemed to completely miss-match for the first twenty or so sheets, and would not seperate from the roll. Instead I ended up with copious amounts of unusable single ply tissues strewn around the bathroom, followed by colourful language befitting of the toilet.

In addition if there was not quite enough frustration yet, they are made to be wafer thin, and have a rather rough, coarse abrasvive texture. Lovely! Which are in my humble opinion, not really the best qualitites one would expect, or look for, in a toilet tissue.

In summary, these are unquestionably an absolute bargain. However you really do get what you pay for. An unless you like a bathroom challenge, I would advise anyone, to spend a few pennies more (no pun intended) and purchase something of slightly higher quality. I managed to use half a roll, before it joined its remaining 11 brothers and sisters, in the recycling bin.

My advice, Purchase at your own peril! Tescos other toilet tissues cost only slightly more, and comparative to the quality they are the better bargain.
