I recently noticed plenty of advertisements for toilet papers both on television and on newspapers, and I wonder to myself what drives people to buy toilet paper that is soft and expensive. Whilst doing the weekly shopping, I had made a bet with myself on how Tesco Value Toilet Tissue would be against the more expensive brands.

Like any other Tesco Value product, the packaging is plain and simple, in this case it is even more basic because it is toilet tissue. I did not feel at all confident in the product, therefore I had tried it upon reaching home to see if it had exceeded my expectations.

Once touching it, it reminded me of the sensation of touching sandpaper rough and slightly uncomfortable compared to the more expensive brands. Surely this would not be that bad, but when you pull a piece out, it is extremely thin, if it was any more thinner it would be invisible.

Therefore in order to compensate for the more layers you get with premium brands, you would need to use more of them which really means you are using more of a cheap product.

Therefore, at the end of the day, you will still be spending more money instead of saving it by cutting back when by buying this particular product.

Therefore, in order to justify the use of it. I had used it as a single use wipe for any oil, grease or spill in the kitchen, at least I found a use for it that did not inflict discomfort. When you look at the price of less than half a pound for a 4 pack, it really does reflect on the quality, therefore it may seem cheap at first, but you'll definitely end up using more, hence increasing the cost.

Summary: May seem cheap, but you'll end up using more of them
