Advantages: Good and cheap, softer than expected
Disadvantages: May not be to everyone standard
Having three boys and two toilets in my house we do get through a lot of toilet roll especially as my boys fight over who gets the cardboard tube so some days we can go through two whole roles. As a result of this I have switched to this cheaper brand and I am so glad I have as I am saving a fortune!
~~THE PACKAGING~~
The toilet roll comes in a clear plastic wrapper and has a red stripe around the middle with the product name and above this is the Tesco value logo. Also at the bottom of the packet is a little logo saying that this product is helping to protect the forests. On the back of the packaging is some info about the toilet roll and a warning about the bag being kept away from small children and babies. There is also the Tesco promise.
~~THE ROLL~~
The toilet roll is white and is small than other more expensive brands. I am pleased that it is a white colour as it means it will fit into any bathroom colour scheme. The end of the roll is very easy to find as there is always a loose bit which just needs pulling to start the roll running freely. At times I do find that the two ply's separate when the roll is stared but this can easily be rectified by pulling only once ply over the other.
A tip would be to make sure that you have the two separate ply's the right way around as the inside of them is a little harder than the soft outside so make sure the soft side is out.
The toilet paper does have a small pattern on which looks like tiny small dots. The paper is also nice and soft, much more than had expected from this as it is so cheap.
I am sure you all know how to use toilet paper so I am not going to give any directions for use!
I do use this for blowing my nose as I have given up buying tissues as they always make my nose very sore but this does not and it also saves me money.
~~PRICE AND AVAILABILITY~~
As this is a Tesco Value brand then it is only available to buy in Tesco's stores. It comes in at a very cheap £1.24 for 12 rolls but it is also available to buy in pack of 4 for just over 40p.
~~CONCLUSION~~
Despite being very cheap this is not at all bad. I found it did not irritate delicate areas when using it and none of my boys have complained about it either.
The best thing in my house is the cardboard tube and there are always fights over who gets them. We find they are great fun for making a variety of things which include, binoculars, pen pots, arm band and robot arms and legs! If you do not have children or are not creative then don't forget to recycle your tube and not just throw it away.
I am definitely going to recommend this toilet roll as it a nice and soft, has a great price and my boys can have as many cardboard tubes as they like!
Summary: Good soft and cheap toilet roll
