Advantages: Cheap!

Disadvantages: Not comfortable to use, a roll doesn't last

I am always after a bargain and generally am a big fan of Tesco Value range. Most of the products I have bought from this range haven't disappointed me and have in fact impressed me as being of a quality far better than I would have expected for the price. So I decided to give Tesco Value Toilet Tissue a go. Unfortunately, I feel it let me down.

This toilet tissue costs £1.26 for 12 rolls which seems like an excellent bargain. Name brand toilet tissue costs at least twice this for the same number of rolls.

This toilet tissue comes in a plastic bag with the tesco value logo on it. It's not an attractive bag so it doesn't look nice in the bathroom. If I were more organised I would put mine in a wicker hamper or something to hide it but I'm not so people will just have to know I'm cheap when they come round and ask to use my toilet. Oh well, life is too short to worry about these things!

The toilet roll itself is disappointing. Although it claims to be 2-ply, each layer is so thin that you feel like it's only 1-ply and end up using much more of it because of the way it feels. Also it is quite scratchy and not very soft on delicate parts!

Because I walk to the grocery shop and carry my groceries home (when I'm not being lazy and buying online), it helps me to have toilet paper where one roll lasts a long time. That is not the case with this stuff.

After the first bag of this I have stopped buying it and have switched to Andrex which, while much pricier, feels nice and soft and luxurious.

Summary: Only for the toughest moneysavers out there
