Be nice to your nose. Buy something else instead. (Tesco Value Toilet Tissue)

Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: Rough and not very absorbent
Unlike the picture that accompanies the description Tesco Value Toilet Tissue is now only available as a four pack. The packaging remains unchanged with a predominantly clear wrapper to allow you to see the contents. The wrapper is adorned with the Tesco barcode logo in the top left corner and a low budget red band across the centre emblazoned with the words "Toilet Tissue" underneath which in smaller type is stated "4 rolls x 200 sheets. The back tells a slightly different story as that states an average 200 sheets per roll. Still lets not split hairs. 200 sheets give or take a little bit is roughly 20% less sheets than the average competitors roll. At 120mm x 96mm a sheet is considerably smaller too. But size isn't everything. In a world where we're encouraged to purchase quilted toilet paper with added Aloe Vera to be nice to our derrieres the course scratchy dimpled and remarkably thin stuff that lurks within the Tesco pack comes as somewhat of a shock. Its an improvement on the tracing paper that schools supplied in the 1970s but compared to modern day papers its abysmal. Summary: Be nice to your nose and your bum and buy something else instead |
