Advantages: Soft, very cheap, ethical

Disadvantages: Not as soft as premium brands, larger cardboard tube

The vital statistics...
Tesco value toilet tissue comes in packs of 4 and 12. The price of a pack of 12 toilet rolls costs around £1.20 although it seems to vary slightly from week to week - this works out at approximately £0.10 per roll. There are on average 200 sheets per roll.

Appearance...
The tissue is plain white, fairly thin with a slightly mottled effect on the surface. They are 2-ply and of average width. The cardboard tubing is slightly wider than other brands - I presume this is to make the tissue look larger, this is one of the few bits about the product where I mark them down. The wrapper is transparent with a red band across the middle, on the back you will find the Tesco promise and environmental information.

Texture...
Compared to other economy versions of toilet tissue, I rate this one fairly high. It is softer than many others and is pretty absorbent - I have used it in an emergency for clearing up spillages in the bathroom without any difficulty. It is still not as soft as some of the premium brands but certainly is not sub-standard.

Further information...
This toilet tissue comes with the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) seal of approval meaning the wood used to make the product "...comes from forsets which are well managed according to strict environmental, social and economic standards." And who could argue with that? I can safely say that if this was not the case, I would be paying extra for a more ethical equivalent. It is good that Tesco in this instance have not discriminated against the cheaper option.

Summary: It works!

these are okay but are smaller in size than others - still good value for when you have all the family back en mass.

I read mixed reviews on these so I will just have to buy them. My daughters fling them everywhere and use them for make up or whatever as I find them in their bedrooms etc. For this price I would not need to complain or moan no more.
