We quite often buy this when we can't afford anything from the higher brands. We have bought it on and off for about 2 years now. Tesco value toilet roll comes in two pack sizes - 4 rolls which costs 52p and 12 rolls which cost £1.49. Each roll has 200 sheets so it does work out much better value to buy the 12 roll packet, especially when you consider that 12 rolls of this cost much less than 4 rolls of the leading brand.

The packaging is basic and exactly the same as shown above, the toilet rolls are packaged in simple clear plastic which you will just need to puncture to get the product out. The toilet rolls are a clean white colour as shown above and the rolls are slightly smaller than other brands. They look ok, they dont look perfect and the cardboard rolls in the middle are often not completely round but for the price you are paying you really cant complain about this!

The toilet roll is 2 ply and is fairly soft. It isnt silky soft but it isnt rough like the stuff you get in public toilets either! The toilet roll is fine, you will need a little bit more than you would use of a premium brand because it is quite thin but you will still only need two or three sheets.

I often use toilet roll for other uses aswell as going to the toilet, for example if I have a tiny bit of make up I want to remove and re-do I will wet a piece of toilet roll to wash it off. The toilet roll disintegrates if it is made overly wet so you can really only make this damp. However, its not designed for removing make up so I cannt complain on this front!

All in all, the toilet roll is ok. It is fine for everyday use but if you have an upset stomach or will be using the toilet roll a lot I would recommend a different brand as this isn't as soft as it could be. The toilet roll absorbs well and does the job and for around 12p a roll I cannot complain! Even when we have a bit more money for the weekly grocery shop we often buy this because it does the job at a bargain price.
