Advantages: good value for money

Disadvantages: boring pacakaging and product

Although I do use a lot of tesco value products, especially now that the family shop has switched to a large tesco instead of waitrose, i was slightly reluctant to use this particular product because I had assumed that it would be a little bit like the value loo roll... Seemingly more for your money but actually not such a brilliant product.

The product comes in clear packaging, so you can see exactly what's inside and the branding on the packaging is just as you'd expect for a value product. Although it's not all that exciting, it does make this stand out on the shelves and draws your eyes to this. Tesco will often put this on their bottom shelves though, so that you can't immediately see it at eye height - so watch out!

There is nothing fancy about the product, it's plain old white kitchen roll, but unlike the loo roll of the same brand, it's thick and very absorbent. You seem to get a lot wound around the cardboard tube, and there is nothing to make you think you are being ripped off. When I went to tesco last week, they actually didn't have my usual sort of kitchen paper, so I thought at 77p, why not buy a couple of rolls and see how they work out? I did just that and I really wasn't disappointed.

I'd say it was good value for money because you get a lot for your pennies. It's not quite as good as bounty for example, but it's no worse than any other supermarket branded item.
