Advantages: Cheap, appropriate size, NO FLOWERS
Disadvantages: None in my books
I personally hate kitchen roll covered in flowers, or shapes, or flowerpots , or more flowers. I think that if I buy them I will be old before my time and anyway, I don't have the country kitchen that would accommodate such monstrosities.
Thankfully, Tesco Value Kitchen Roll has none of the above attributes and is as plain and simple as it is cheap. I will only be tempted away from this roll when a well known kitchen roll advertised by bad transvestites is on serious offer. This only happened briefly a little time ago.
Packaging.
-------------
See-thru plastic with the Value flashing in the top left hand corner and a red stripe across the centre declaring the name. There is a yellow flashing on the right hand side which alerts the buyer to the fact that the rolls now have double the sheets per roll. It is very easy to get the rolls out of the packaging. It's very basic but I think the value packaging works well on this product .
The Rolls
-----------
Inside a pack there are two rolls each having 120 sheets. The sheets themselves are perfect squares and have a dotted appearance. The feel of them is acceptable - I would not describe them as cotton-soft but they feel soft enough to blow my nose on. I think this is an excellent test and should be used in controlled experiments when developing kitchen roll.
Do they mop up mess?
-----------------------------
Actually, they're pretty good. The paper is very absorbent and does not fall apart like the bad transvestites in the advert from the other product claim all other rolls will. The thing about this roll is the sheets are a little smaller than your bumper, more expensive rolls so you may need to use a couple of sheets to do the job of cleaning up a bigger mess. However, if your mess is smaller than it is perfect - and a sheet from a more expensive brand would have been too big, too much, too wasteful. I have used these sheets to successfully mop up water, ketchup and amongst other things - cat sick. Cat sick is a terrible thing to clean up and only marginally better than a cat poo when a cat has been trapped in the living room.
I don't really think this paper was made for scrubbing at stuff (is any paper?) To do this, you need a proper cloth.
To conclude
---------------
Great value for money and avoid unnecessary waste.
Summary: Why waste money on horrid fancy rolls when this one is just great?
