... recyclable plastic and come in 500ml-sized bottles. They instantly jump out of the shelves in Tesco as they are very often found on an offer. These offers include 3 for the price of 2 or 2 bottles for £1.50. I can honestly say that I don't think I have ever paid full price for this product, great stuff! The bottle itself is a simple design; the plastic is clear so you can see the washing up liquid through it. The Tesco logo is on the front of the bottle and the name of the fragrance which you have chosen. The back of t...more

I am always trying to save money wherever possible so whilst doing my weekly shop, I noticed Tescos own washing up liquid and thought I would try this instead of my usual Fairy washing up liquid. Packaging The washing up liquid comes in a plastic bottle very similar to most of the washing up liquid bottles. The lid is red and flips up to open which again is very similar to other washing up liquid bottles. The bottle I am reviewing contains 500ml. Price Obviously this product can only be bought at Tesco and here is costs 68p for a 500ml bottle. Although quite often this product is on special offer where you can buy three bottles for ...  Read the complete review

When it comes to washing up liquid I have tried them all, from the most expensive brands to the really really cheap ones that don't actually clean your dishes! When I was living at home my Mum and Dad would only buy the Morning Fresh Brand however when moving into my own place a few years ago I was all for buying the cheapest product around, after all what could the difference be when it comes to buying washing up liquids? I soon learned that buying the cheap brands was not a great idea, they left dishes not really that clean unless you scrubbed them rather than wiped them and my skin felt rough so these days I always stick to a product that I know, ...  Read the complete review

Something that is always a necessity in the kitchen cupboard is washing up liquid, even for those who are lucky enough to own a dishwasher, some pots and pans, crystal glasses and baking trays are either too large, fragile or dirty to put into a dishwasher and therefore, there is only one option available, Washing up liquid. I use to be a big fan of Fairy Washing up liquid, it seemed to do as the advert says, lasts far far longer than other brands. Not only did it require a much smaller squirt per bowl of water, but the soapy bubbles (which may serve no real purpose, but they look nice) last far longer compared to the Tesco value washing up liquid which ...  Read the complete review

With the purse strings being a little tight at the moment I'm trying more and more cheaper alternatives to my usual brands in the hope of saving a few pennies during my regular shopping trips. I usually buy fairy washing up liquid as I always thought that this brand represented good value for money, but on my last trip to Tesco I was on a limited cash budget and had to go for a cheaper alternative. I looked up and down the shelves and noticed that Tesco now do an own brand anti-bacterial range. The Lime and Ginger liquid caught my eye with its nice bright green colour and it smelled really pleasant so I thought I'd give it a go. Now my normal ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Washing Up Liquid: Not quite the bubbly one! (328 words)

Apparantly Washing up Liquid, is another one of those items where cheapness, is a false economy. Being one of the few households that does'nt own a dishwasher, we get through a fair amount of the stuff. So I figured I would do my bit to save a few pennies by purchasing this own brand product. Outwardly, the green smelly liquid looks like the premium stuff, I know sometimes the econo versions just look like watered down rubbish. But, no, this looked like the real Mccoy, nice viscosity, nice smell, however upon first using it I found it completely useless. When I first squeezed a little into running water, it looked promising, it was ...  Read the complete review
