I am always trying to save money wherever possible so whilst doing my weekly shop, I noticed Tescos own washing up liquid and thought I would try this instead of my usual Fairy washing up liquid. Packaging The washing up liquid comes in a plastic bottle very similar to most of the washing up liquid bottles. The lid is red and flips up to open which again is very similar to other washing up liquid bottles. The bottle I am reviewing contains 500ml. I have to say that I do try and save money wherever I can but after buying the Tescos own washing up liquid I began to realise that there are some things that you should splash out on! It's the same size as any other washing up liquid but not as concentrated and I found myself needing to squirt an extra amount into the washing up bowl. Also I tend to put a little drop onto my sponge, which I find really helps but with this brand I found it dissapearing after a couple of seconds unlike the much better Fairy liquid. Washing up liquid is a funny sort of thing. When faced with a row of fairly identical looking bottles it makes your purse ache to go for the more expensive brand name one, but havinggiven in to the temptation of Asda 'Value' washing up liquid in the past, there certainly is such a thing as substandard washing up liquid (the stuff wouldn't lather! At all!) Thus, for a while I ignored Tesco washing up liquid. But the end of the month comes to us all, and with it the need to save as many pennies as possible until next payday, so I ended up grabbing a bottle of Tesco for 69p, just to try to rediscover my kitchen sink under the mountain of pots.
