Advantages: Smells good, doesn't dry your hands

Disadvantages: Bubbles disperse quicker and doesn't last as long as leading brand

I have to say I have always stuck to the leading brand of washing up liquid as I found you get more value for money than you do if you buy a cheaper brand which never seem to last as long, recently however when my shopping was delivered Tesco's own brand had been given as a substitute for the one I ordered.

THE PRODUCT - The first thing I noticed when I used it was that it smelt the same as the leading brand I normally use, when I have come accross cheaper washing up liquid before I have noticed a chemically smell not quite hidden by the added frangrance but this wasn't the case. It produced a lot of bubbles which I have found generally last quite well, although if washing up lots of dishes the bubbles to end to disperse quicker than fairy bubbles. I am not a fan of rubber gloves so, although I know its not good for my hands, I don't wear them but after washing up the skin on my hands didn't feel dry or tight as I thought they might.

VALUE FOR MONEY? - Although the Tesco version wasn't as thick as fairy it wasn't as runny as other cheaper alternatives and I have found I only need to use slightly more than I would normally use and the bottle lasted nearly as long as my usual brand. My usual brand costs 98p a bottle and tends to last on average 2 weeks and I paid 70p for the Tesco version which lasted a week and a half.

VERDICT - Although I was quite impressed with Tesco's version and wouldn't mind using it again I think I would prefer to spend the extra 28p so that the bottle (and the bubbles) last that little bit longer.

Summary: Generally a good cheaper alternative.
