Advantages: Really cleans your plates etc! Good price, leaves skin soft!

When it comes to washing up liquid I have tried them all, from the most expensive brands to the really really cheap ones that don't actually clean your dishes! When I was living at home my Mum and Dad would only buy the Morning Fresh Brand however when moving into my own place a few years ago I was all for buying the cheapest product around, after all what could the difference be when it comes to buying washing up liquids?


I soon learned that buying the cheap brands was not a great idea, they left dishes not really that clean unless you scrubbed them rather than wiped them and my skin felt rough so these days I always stick to a product that I know, Tesco Washing Up Liquid.


The Tesco Washing up Liquid comes in a variety of different fragrances and this then has a bearing on the price. You can buy the following:

All of the bottles of washing up liquid are made from recyclable plastic and come in 500ml-sized bottles. They instantly jump out of the shelves in Tesco as they are very often found on an offer. These offers include 3 for the price of 2 or 2 bottles for £1.50. I can honestly say that I don't think I have ever paid full price for this product, great stuff!


The bottle itself is a simple design; the plastic is clear so you can see the washing up liquid through it. The Tesco logo is on the front of the bottle and the name of the fragrance which you have chosen. The back of the bottle simply has instructions for use on and instructions. The top of the bottle is a red flip cap which easily opens and closes. The washing up liquid pours out with ease but does not pour out to quickly. When it comes to the end of the bottle I balance the bottle upside down so I can get every last bit of the liquid out! I do hate waste!


I very often buy the lemon bottle of washing up liquid, as it is my favourite smell so I will refer to this product as I continue. When it comes to using the washing up liquid it is like any other bottle, you are recommended to add it to warm water. I tend to pour a small amount under the running hot tap and before you know it lots of bubbles have formed in the sink. You do only need a small amount of the product so a 500ml bottle does last you a long time.


There are 2 of us in my household so there are always 2 sets of everything as well as cooking equipment and saucepans but the liquid always manages to work on the messiest, dirtiest of plates or cups. What I find with the product is that you don't really need to scrub t hard but just gently wipe over the dish for example and the dirt will wipe away.


The product is also good for getting rid of all the grease. When it comes to washing up items such as baking trays or casserole dishes that have a rim of grime and grease over it, with some washing up liquids I have really had to scrub the products but with this one I find with a dishcloth the grim just comes off.


I am also one of those people who start of with the best intentions and wares gloves to do my washing up but then I get distracted and forget to put the gloves back on so it is important that the product is quite friendly to my hands and skin and I have to say that the Tesco washing up liquid leaves my skin quite soft rather than other products that have left it really dry and sore.

In conclusion I am really happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone. The prices are really good and it is as good as any other brand on the market in my opinion.
