I had watched the adverts for these little disks a few times and although I was a little interested, I wasn't interested enough to find out more. A few weeks ago I stumbled across a review on dooyoo and as the review was favourable and the price wasn't too bad I decided to give them a go myself. I have tried various loo cleaner blocks, gels etc. and I don't enjoy getting up close and personal with the blocks, the packaging or with the cistern or loo. I always feel the need to scrub my hands red after positioning one of these. With this product I liked the idea that you didn't have to touch the loo or the cleaner and also the fact that you didn't ... Read the complete review

I really hate 'iffy' toilets. This includes both the unclean variety....... and those which are so heavily charged with either chemical disinfectants or overpowering masking scents. Historically toilet blocks or cleaners were either added to the cistern : slowly generating sludge and gunk or lurked under the rim in a cage arrangement collecting germs and other unpleasant looking growths. As the flu pandemic threatens to return in anger this Autumn, so thoughts naturally turn to cleaning, protecting and dare I say disinfecting the smallest room in the house. Consider then 'Fresh Discs' a cageless rim block scented gel dispensed into the toilet bowl and effective for ... Read the complete review

After seeing these advertised on the TV for quite a while now, I decided to give them a go. I spotted them on the shelf in Sainsbury's last week and thought for £3 they were great value. I say this as it was advertised at being able to hold 6 disks in the applicator and each disk was meant to last 6 weeks, bargain.. .or so I thought! I purchased these in the lime zest scent which I thought would be refreshing, and yes, it was for a few days. How these work is you push the applicator over the tube with the gel in and take the lid off, once this is off you push the applicator onto the inside of the toilet to where you want it (so the water hits it ... "There is a fruit pastel stuck in the toilet", said my husband. "Don't be daft - its a toilet duck" I replied. What a strange conversation to have on a Saturday afternoon! I had been to the supermarket and come home with some cleaning material and set about firstly cleaning the bathroom - a job I dislike enormously, but it has to be done, and no one else in this house is going to do it! I scrubbed and brushed and washed and the bathroom was looking and smelling clean, and to finish of with a flourish I stuck the toilet duck in the toilet! What are toilet duck gel ... Living in a hard water area, I struggle with keeping my toilet clean from limescae, and smelling nice at the same time. Bleach keeps it clean, but I dont want my toilet smelling like the local swimming pool! We visited my mother in law, and when I went to the toilet, I noticed a green blob of goo in there! When I asked, she told me it was Duck Fresh Discs. During my next shopping trip, I decided to buy some. At £2.69, it was more expensive than bleach, but I thought I would give it a go! The Product. The Fresh Discs come in a small ish box, the ones I bought were Lime Zest scented, and had a bright green flash across the box, as well as a picture of ... Read the complete review
