~~~~~~~~ Vanish Carpet and Upholstery Shampoo~~~~~~~

Vanish now have a good range of stain removal products, from in wash treatment to carpet cleaners. My favourite of their products and one which I always keep handy in the house is their 3 in 1 carpet and upholstery cleaner.

Packaging

This product, like all the Vanish products, comes in a bright pink colour plastic bottle. The label on the front has the Vanish Logo printed in big blue letters and the back label contains loads of useful info about the product. There is a screw on cap which is the only let down about the product for safety reasons. The bottle contains 450 mls and can be recycled.

The Product

The liquid inside the bottle is a thin watery white liquid. The bottle is full right to the top and there is a very mild fruity smell from the product, almost more like a shampoo for hair than for carpets!

Vanish has an active oxygen formula which gets deep into carpets and loosens dirt and lifts even the toughest of stains.

Directions for Use

FOR LARGE AREAS
Hoover the carpet before use
Mix 1 part Vanish to 9 parts cold water
Whisk the solution into a foam
Using a brush or sponge apply foam evenly
Do not over wet
Allow to dry and hoover off.

FOR SMALLER AREAS
Blot stain to remove excess with a clean cloth
Using the cap, pour some vanish on the stain
Leave for five minutes
Blot or gently rub with a colourfast cloth or sponge
Repeat if necessary
Blot carpet dry

NOTE
Always test Vanish before use on an inconspicious area for colourfastness. Not suitable for use on velvet. Keep out of reach of children.

What Do I Think?

I always keep a bottle of Vanish in the cleaning cupboard. I do not use it so much for over all cleaning but when I do it gives a great result. I mainly use it when one of my children spill something like juice. I have had amazing results from vanish and highly recommend it.

Vanish is available in shops and supermarkets. I usually buy mine from a poundshop so its an idea to check there for it before you purchase from the supermarket.
